He won't be at GT is what that means. Who knows where he'll end up.

but GT is still one of his choices?

It seems this topic might even deserve its own board

I'll be disappointed but not surprised at all if we don't land him.

The one good thing I will say about all this...CPJ has got to have some goodwill built up with parents and coaches.  Say what you want about the man, but he seems to always do right by the guys on or committed to the team...as long as they're up front and honest.

Glad he met with CPJ face-to-face, so there's no miscommunication from either side. Mature move by both parties.

Given that he was still doing coursework over summer, keep in mind that he hasn't graduated from high school yet. That's an issue whether he decides to stick with GT or go elsewhere.

I'm just wondering how many programs have got slots open so close to getting ready to break for the new season (most players have already reported for the season; he hadn't yet because of Clearinghouse issues). Also, it will be interesting to see if he was released with any conditions.

In theory? Yes.
In practice? Not at all

The same thought process might apply to CPJ and Tech as well.  Just sayin'.

Maybe this is some good karma for GT.  Maybe, just maybe mind you, CPJ pulled a George O'Leary to Quitsy Carter and said...

...we will win with or without you.

To which Quitsy went to the dark side and helped deliver us 3 wins over them during his time there.

I genuinely cannot remember the last time I heard good news regarding GT sports. Can anyone help?

Re: Myles Autry asked for release and granted

At this point if he is still struggling to qualify (graduate?), Tech may not be the best option for him. I would love to have him here but Tech isn't for everybody and as a former student athlete at Tech I can say someone who struggles to graduate from high school might be better suited for a general studies major (or whatever the hell they are offering at all those SEC schools) somewhere else.

He is a "none and done".

He seemed to have academic issues, even before the usual butt-kicking that Tech is known to deliver, so what is the chance that he would have been around for 3-4 years?

In terms of preseason expectations, for both football and basketball, it will be very hard to underachieve this year.

We are about to land 2 6-5 275 lbs OL commits. Twin brothers.
