Damn, even canuac is turning on Golden...disbelief

In Golden I Trust until proven otherwise........

This class is full of players who posses great athleticism including production on the field as well as passion to wear the Orange and Green.... Most of which are from Florida which is what we were built on.. What better way to evaluate Florida's top players, than what Golden is currently doing? If anything, we should be very optimistic about what Coach has implemented..... I'm going to take the same approach I have with all new Miami Hurricane coaches, give them the benefit of the doubt, because I'm a big time fan, until it is blatant enough to where there is no defending him.....

As far as I'm concerned, you're not a fan of this team If you're not excited about this class and season......

Sept can't come soon enough..... Leave the pessimism, if garnered, for after the season but, in the present time, there is really no need for it....

Re: Now that we've filled our quota

I would prefer our class was full of game changers..especially at the skill positions....we need explosive athletes on both sides honestly. A class that consists of mostly higher tier kids with some 2nd tier guys mixed in but our class won't look this way. Mostly 3 star guys mixed in with some 4 star kids when it's said and done. In the end....it's all about wins and losses. If we have a good scheme on both sides and players execute...qb's cut down the ints....lessen the penalties....we can still have a great season.

That's exactly what we have........ You're only concerned with stars by their names.... As I have previously said, our current commits all have the following in common; they are great athletes, they produce on the football field and they all bleed Green and Orange...  Golden's evaluation>Star Who-re opinions......

Go Canes....

OK.  Put the money in escrow, and we'll keep in touch.

That would be an unenforceable escrow agreement because the release would hinge on a bet, which is illegal. But whatever, you're brilliant...

Re: Now that we've filled our quota

I dont agree with the OP 100% but I am starting to get concerned.  After watching film on the newest commit (Witt), I have to tell you that I am not impressed with his film.  He needs to get his weight up to about 230 and I worry about his mobility and speed at that size.

i think there needs to be a better balance, Randy waited too long and didnt have back up plans if a big recruit didnt sign and it seems like Golden may be taking lower end recruits and gambling less on getting better recruits in order to have the ships filled.

I dont know we will see but thats just my take.

Re: Now that we've filled our quota

Appears that people on this board are either brain dead, loss of memory, or not around in the Schnellenberger days.

Howard took good players, with great attitudes, drive and determination, and made them great players by coaching them up and having competition that drove players to perform and excel at the highest levels!  We saw with Randy's recruiting what happens with the "stars" who are not driven and who feel entitlement to play.  Still drives me crazy and angers me as I see, in my mind, pictures of our players having snowball fights while getting their butts kicked by ND.  And, when LSU kicked out butts in the Peach Bowl and players were literally walking off the field and coaches walking around making NO effort to coach up the players.  At the end of the day, Howard and Jimmy no how to coach and motivate .... regardless of the "stars".

When I look at Golden, how he coached up players at Temple (first round draft pick), and how he is using his camps to evaluate in person, each player he recruits in .... the guy gets it!  Hang in there folks .... we are about to see some kickass Miami football, again!!!

Explosive will have to see but you have to agree they are athletic kids with big frames.

We still have a lot of guys on our board and we have room for them as well. I think Deon is already a silent. Wes Brown is prob a done deal.

We still have Goldman, Diggs, Howard and others on our board.

This class will have at least 10 to 12 4 stars with maybe one or two 5 * for you star whores.

When all said and done, I believe we will have a top 3 or 4 class.

Sure has .... and look what it did for Randy!   I will take the 2* and 3* guys with drive, determination, heart all day long over the 4* and 5* guys that Randy brought in who like to throw snowballs and, two bowl games in a row, snuggle up to the heaters during games versus pushing each other on the field to perform.  Yes, I kinda like the blue collar worker mentality over the Obama Entitlement attitude!
