They played a decent game and lost on a last second shot. It's not like it's a repeat of the Stanford blowout.

Shots weren't falling tonight for Singler, but he found other ways to contribute. Loyd had five steals. Kazemi played his freaking heart out. There's positives to take away here, but it's easier to be a little girl and whine about how we are "gutless".

The Ducks lost the National Championship football game on a last second field goal.

The ending to this game does NOT compare.

This team definitely looks done. I'm not even sure an Artis comeback can save them.

I think they limp into the NCAA tournament but I wouldn't expect them to make it out of the first weekend. You can't lose a game like this at home and expect to go on the road every game in the tourney and play with this same type of performance. They could go on a run but tonight sure didn't give fans much confidence.

I bet they split the last 4 games to end up with 23 wins. Not so sure about being Pac-12 Champs although Arizona's last 4 games aren't a cake walk either.

The Ducks play with a lot of heart. To call them gutless is idiotic at best. They miss Artis a lot and are not as good as they would be with him.

It was a tough loss last night.

What is wrong with you people. This team looks "done"? They just won 3 in a row, including 2 on the road, without their point guard. How is that "done"? Did they play well in the second half last night? Absolutely not. Did they play well in the first half against WSU? Absolutely not. They have still split 8 games without their point guard. That's not "done". They are inconsistent, especially offensively. However,they are surviving, by playing hard, and playing great defense. That is all any fan should expect from a team that has lost its starting point guard. People overreact to a good win, and overreact to a bad loss. Let the damn season play out before declaring the team dead.

If DA cannot come back close to his pre-injury form, then clearly this is not a team that can win many games in any post-season tournament, because they are not consistent enough offensively to beat good teams. If that happens, so be it. Injuries happen. Life goes on.

AK gets taken out in a rough play. In the next ten seconds of time on the court he makes two great plays. Yeah, gutless.

No go-to guys that can make a play down the stretch. We need more talent offensively to get past this in the future, but for this season, we just don't have it. Way too many dry spells at the ends of games, because no one can create their own shot and make it to win a game.
If we end the season at 4-8 in the last 12 games as I think that we will, we will be a bubble team.
Very, very disappointing home loss.

You know what is truly sad is how gutless you are as a "fan".

I've now seen multiple instances of us having a lead for almost the entire game and then choke at the end. That's gutless.

I've seen multiple instances of you posting like a spoiled, snivelling child who didn't get the red firetruck he wanted for his birthday. Unless you are 12, which wouldn't surprise me, that's gutless; not a team busting their butts to weather a difficult injury. You are the kind of "fan" I wish would root for SC.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Even if we only win one more game we still make the tournament. Sorry to burst your bubble buddy. I know you are wishing for us to go to the NIT but unless we lose every remaining game we play that will not happen. My guess is they go 2-2 the rest of the way and end up with a #7 seed. If Artis comes back all bets are off.

I agree we should go 2-2 in the final four games but going into the game last night we were picked for a 6 seed. Losing 3 games (counting last night)...we would fall further than a 7th. We won't even be ranked either. We may get the dreaded 8 or 9 seed which is a death sentence. It would almost be better to get a 10th seed. Winner of 8-9 game plays number 1.

Since the tournament selection committee looks at your last 10+ games or so, we are still on thin ice with regards to making it in as an at-large without Artis.
As of right now, I see us being an 10/11 seed, but unless we get more needed wins to make it to 23 or more before the conference tourney starts, it will be pins and needles on Selection Sunday.
Somehow, we have to get past OSU at home (toss-up there), and get past Utah (another toss-up) on the road for the only 2 winnable games left on the schedule.
We need Artis back and at 100% before the P12 tourney. Anything less than that (a disastrous possible 1-3 finish and a first round out in the P12 tourney without him), spells NIT for us.

Sad but true. Yeah if we have anymore games like last night and the CU game and with just one game separating about 5 teams we could drop from a 1 seed in our league to a 5 and having to play opening night. Fifth place in the league won't necessarily get you a bid in the tourney either as bad as the Pac-12 is this year. We will fall out of the top 25 so Arizona will be the only ranked team.
