1. I think the current problems at the NCAA could be reflected in the UO situation if it is determined that Lyles was paid for his testimony. There is NOTHING to indicate this happened.
2. The ambiguous and changing rules of the NCAA during the time of violations by Oregon are a mitigating factor in Oregon's favor.
3. The NCAA recent proposal about changes in recruiting rules moving AWAY from the ambguity of the previous rules AND establishing recruiting guidelines that reflect what UO did is probably the most positive sign that the NCAA looks at UO and recruiting differently than UO rival fans do.
