Ducks projected as a 6 seed
m.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology...4&year=2013According to ESPN. 6 seed in the south and facing North Carolina with Kansas as the 3 seed. That would be a tough draw

Re: Ducks projected as a 6 seed
That wouldn't be that bad of a draw. North Carolina isn't that good this year and Kansas is beatable.

I'd take that. We should beat NC handily and Kansas has shown a tendency to completely take games off. Also can't get much more high profile then that in the first weekend! RipCityDuck wrote: m.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology...4&year=2013

I don't see Kansas or anyone taking a 2nd round tourney game off. An athletic team that can score would probably kill us, especially with Artis not being a 100%

Re: Ducks projected as a 6 seed
much rather play Kansas as the second game of the weekend then the first. Much more likely to see a letdown and we see a lot more surprises in the second round then the first. Kansas isn't exactly a team that can score...only gone over 80 and won once in the last 11 games (same as Oregon actually) and have scored less then 65 in more then half their conference games (Oregon only held under 65 3 times and all when Artis has been out...) Kansas would be a great matchup for the Ducks. duck1983 wrote: I don't see Kansas or anyone taking a 2nd round tourney game off. We shouldn't talk about dancing until we get to 23 wins. The PAC has destroyed its credibility these last few years.

Have you ever posted a positive comment on this board?

Re: Ducks projected as a 6 seed (1 vote)
I still don't get why so many of you care about precise seeding at this point. I would like to see Oregon get a 10th or higher seed. But beyond that, who cares if Oregon is 10th or 3rd? When you get to 12 seed or higher you should expect to be playing in a hard fought game no matter what. By the 2nd round all bets are off and everyone can beat everyone. In another year maybe I would care more about this. But the truth is there is no scary talented team like Kentucky. At the same time there are over 30 very capable teams who have a decent shot at beating everyone else.
Prior to the spiking of the pass the game clock went to zero. The game is over.

--------------------------------------------- Yes. There's still 5 regular season games to be played plus the conference tourney. If we only win 1 more game, we won't be going. I'm just telling people to not get their hopes up. I'll be happy if we get to 23 wins, but I've also seen too many disappointments with this hoops program for years...like last season.

Re: Ducks projected as a 6 seed (2 votes)
Totally agreed. Kansas will NOT take an NCAA tourney game off. Regular season is one thing, but the tournament? No way. I seriously doubt that we will play them anyways that early, because things are in constant flux until the Selection Sunday show in a month.

Please provide a link to any positive post you may have scribed.
Using your logic, we'll have to lose to either OSU @ home or Utah to meet the 'only one more win criteria" plus lose in the 1st round of the Pac12 Tourney.
I'll assume you'll remember we just swept the Wa schools on the road.
What a sad life you must live to always seek out the worst case.

Oregon will win 4 out of their 5 remaining games and will win the Pac-12 championship. They will win at least one Pac-12 tourney game giving them at least 26 wins. They will get in the NCAA tourney being Pac-12 champs and 26 wins easily.

I said earlier that we would go 5-2 in our last 7. Now I'm saying 6-1 since we swept the WASH schools. Still 98.6 the last I checked. LOL.

You have not made one prediction or comment this BB season that has come true. Stop making a fool of youself, unless you're into that.

Pretty amazing to think had Artis not gone down we would probably be 23-3 and sitting on a two seed. We can still win the onfrence and 25+.... Go ducks.

Re: Ducks projected as a 6 seed (1 vote)
Agree we're 2 weeks early to worry about where Oregon is now. Need to win to get to a 4 seed and make that first weekend a 1 gamer to get the The Sweet 16. A 4 seed gets a 13 and those teams are usually, not always but usually, less physically able to keep up with a team from a major conference in the second game in 3 days. So, instead of North Carolina you get UNC Wilmington and most..most of the time the game is over with about 5 minutes to go. Mayhem in the tourney, I'm making a huge generalization, but overall, it's true. The 5 seed stinks as it's usually a major who thinks they got jobbed in the draw and the 4 seed is wayyyy better in most years. Go Ducks. Win this weekend, beat OSU and split on the road. 24-6 headed to the conference tourney? 26-7? That'd be a 4 seed. Not saying it will happen, hoping. Man they need Artis!!! Tyree Robinson on Oregon v. UW - They kept trying to compare themselves to Oregon instead of showing me they were a program with a plan. Nothing compares to what Oregon has going on.
