Anybody watch Comcasts Signing Day Special re: Tyner?
during Dwight Jaynes interview with Tyner there is a part where it is just Jaynes talking over video and he claims that Tyner committed to Oregon State at some point before committing to Oregon.
I don't remember Tyner ever committing to Oregon State. Does anybody recall that ever happening?

pretty sure he committed to OSu when he was a soph, and then changed it last year

Nope. There was a rumor started that he had done so, but that he denied immediately. The beevs were crowing about it until his denial came out.

Not sure where or how it started, or if it was accurate, but early on in the recruiting process Tyner was reported to be planning on attending OS. Maybe he just liked them and hadn't publically said one way or another or perhaps he hadn't made any decision at the time. But in any case, he seemed to be more interested in the Beavers than the Ducks. This sticks in my mind because even then I had heard he was a talented player and very fast. I remember being disappointed because I didn't want him to be a Beaver. I was pretty happy when I first heard he was interested in the Ducks. Don't know exactly how it all played out but I believe he may have been more interested in the Beavers than the Ducks early on. And I say, "So what, he is a Duck now and that is al that matters.

Based on the "internet", it appears that it was the Sac State game from a couple of years ago that changed his mind on the beavs. He was at that game and left at half time from what I remember reading. Wasn't it only a couple seasons ago that a TAMU football/relay team cost Oregon a shot at the NCAA outdoor title? (IIRC Oregon placed 2nd in 2009, and 3rd in 2010)
