another basketball thread (Kazemi vs Emory)
I had pointed out a while back that Emory was showing a lot of emotion and almost looked like he was getting into an argument with Singler against UCLA (I think that was the game). That was the first game that Kazemi started over Emory, I believe. During the time with Kazemi starting we are now 3 and 3. I am sure this is just a coincidence, but there seems to be a lack of chemistry at work here as well, regardless of Artis being on the court. During this stretch Kazemi has averaged 10.1 and 9.2 rebounds in very efficient garbage man type shooting. On the other hand Emory has averaged 9.3 points, but is clearly a more willing shooter.
Both Emory and Kazemi are good and both need to be on the court, but combine this with the PG situation and there seems to be a problem with chemistry. Too often last night we were deep in the shot clock with nobody looking to take the shot.
I think it is clear that Artis drives the bus, but the wheels on the bus need to be rotated. I think that Dotson might be hitting the freshman wall right now as he hasn't been looking for his shot as much. I would like to see this line-up for the Utah game and see how they work together.
PG-Loyd SG-Singler SG-Emory PF-Kazemi C- Woods
bring Dotson, Austin and Moore off the bench.
