State of poodle football, in a quote... (5 votes)
...with props to isleofdogs... Interesting quote form one of the twins concerning their trip to UW.
“They kept trying to compare themselves to Oregon instead of showing me that they were a program with a plan. I liked a lot about the program, but they got nothing on the Ducks. Nothing compares to what Oregon has going on." Ouch...

It's a sad little epidemic up in Seattle. Woodward gets spanked for jealous little comments regarding Oregon's facilities, Sarkingham in a teary rant claims the gap between the programs isn't actually the 3 td margin it's been for the last 10 years. Then you have kim and her little brother Eklund cheerleading doog nation in their annual masturbatory off season national title. it's quite a little show. 9 63 wrote: ...with props to isleofdogs...

I almost wish the Twin wouldn't have said anything. Someone (Kimmie) reading what the Fuskies are currently doing might get a clue and tell Sark what some recruits think. Doubtful, about getting a clue, that is. Also, being a Duck fan from the bad ol' days, who would have ever thought Washington would be trying to emulate the Ducks! That alone is pure gold!

Re: State of poodle football, in a quote...
It continues to amaze me how much negative recruiting they do up there, glad to see the twins see through that nonsense. If a program cant focus on their own strengths, they really have a lot of problems. Not sure why any kid would listen to a program bad mouth anouther school, its not like they are going to be objective. Of course they are gonna spew nonsense. Guess it just speaks to more Sark desperation

If you ever heard the podcast to the Huskies pep rally last year, you would fully understand how much of an amateur coaching staff they really are. Sark literally sounded like he had put back a 12 pack and introduced Tosh by degrading Cal since they had no business getting top recruits and it was only because of Tosh that they were. Do you think Saban feels the need to take jabs at other SEC schools because he is insecure about his own product? You have a lot of coaches today say we have a lot to sell and let the results speak for themselves but when you are the Hussies who end the year with a loss to doormat WSU and blow a bowl game with players prematurely celebrating on the sidelines, it says a lot about where the program is headed, and why they need to negatively recruit. I personally know there are several udumb alumni out there who are not happy and expect this to be Sarks last. I personally hope he sticks around because I've never been impressed with Sark or Kiffin both alumni of Carroll's coaching staff and both who I think are gone next year.

It wasn't that long ago that Fetters & Kimmie led the parade of dawgcrap posters spewing how Oregon is the worst "negative recruiter" in the country.
Weird how history has a way of changing isn't it?

Re: State of poodle football, in a quote...
This is ironic considering how Kimmie led this rant about a week ago with a classic Internet chat berating recruits who chose Oregon. The guys a first class loser representing the alumni of UW. Love it

Re: State of poodle football, in a quote...
And from at least one post from the Beav Board, even Mike Riley isn't too happy with the way Washington has been recruiting. If Mike Riley doesn't like you ... AKBeaver wrote: "(I spoke at length with Gundy's dad) at an Alamo Bowl pregame function/tailgater. First off, he's as nice as they come (just plopped down next to us and introduced himself). My wife & I actually ended up chatting with him for a good hour or two.. apart from the fact I loved chopping it up with him about everything outside of OSU, I also got a great, behind-the-scenes look at Riley's program, recruiting, & learned a lot about Ryan Gunderson (I'll have more on that in another post). We talked a little about Riley recruiting against the P12 & how they made inroads in Texas, Oklahoma, etc. Based on what I heard & without getting too specific, I can tell you that the Riley & co. definitely have respect for much of the other P12 staffs (recruiting, etc.), but they unequivocally do not like Sark and, like we all have been saying, find many of his tactics uncomfortably shady & sleazy (which they've experienced first hand)."

The fact that many Pac staffs reportedly don't like Sark is interesting in light of the fact that Chip and Sark seemed to get along pretty well. In fact, it always seemed to me that "friendship" was why the Ducks didn't grind the dawgs into the ground and put up more points than we could have against them. We called off the dogs, if you will, early in many of those games and went conservative.

Yes. Sixingham took a shot at Cal for not winning a rose bowl in 200 years or something like that.
Yet he had just hired the guy from Cal who hasn't won a rose bowl in 200 years to come save them.
A coach who has never won a rose bowl himself (as a head coach) or had anything to do with Washingtons 7.
Brilliant stuff. An absolute bell end.

Both Sark and Lame learned under Pete Carroll. Both seem obsessed with trying to work angles, rather than straight-up football or straight up recruiting.
They both do Eddie Haskell proud.

Re: State of poodle football, in a quote... (1 vote)
Comparing programs, and bad mouthing them are two different things. If I compare Seattle to Ewgene, is that a bad mouthing or just insecurity? Depth charts comparing playing time, bad mouthing or opportunity? Sanctions or none? Loss of HC,same HC? Heard yesterday about Kelly and Sark are actually pretty good friends. Kelly called Sark a straight shooter. So stay on the Riley bandwagon!
