Recruiting ranking is nice and all but ultimately the battle still have to be won the field. Until we beat you in Eugene next season, this is still your conference. We have 14 games to win next season and we're hoping to beat you twice, once in Eugene and once in Pasadena. :D

Wazzu#4
Haha
Doesn't matter, though, because what does matter is how the coaches develop these recruits.

Given the date of the game (10/26), the UCLA at Oregon game may be the first West Coast Gameday appearance of the year if UCLA can get by at Stanford on 10/19.
@Nebraska will be a big test for UCLA prior to even the Stanford game, though. I like the Bruins to be a surprise team next year, and early prediction of Gameday for UO and UCLA on 10/26 for two Top 10 teams playing.

I don't know what to make of UCLA. I am taking a wait and see approach with you guys. There is talent in Pasadena for sure. I just think that game against Baylor kind of exposed the depth on the oline. This class is great and all but that takes time to build. Franklin is gone too, right? It's definitely going to take a couple of dynamic playmakers outside of Hundley.

Given Stanford returns 15 starters, including most of their defense, and UCLA returns 12; and, the game I believe the game should be at Stanford, at this point in time, you have to take the Cardinals, no? Perhaps somewhat quietly, Stanford is 29-3 at home since 2007, with two of the three losses coming to #6 USC in 2008 and #6 Oregon in 2011 (the other being Cal in 2009 where Luck through a pick at the Cal 3 yard line with 1:42 left going in for the go ahead score).

They would've had Oregon #12 if it wasn't for all the Duck fans in Seattle. --------------------------------------------- --- Ducksatbat wrote: seattle times READERS? Re: Seattle Times readers rank Pac 12 recruiting classes
You're absolutely correct. UCLA has always had talent but the problem has been having competent coaches developing that talent into results on the field. That said, many of us are very impressed with Mora's first season (tied for the most successful first season in the history of UCLA football) and so many of us have a level of confidence that has never been experienced for more than a decade.
Obviously, the Cal and Baylor games give us cause for concerns and humble us but we believe we're heading in the right direction towards competing not just for a conference championship but a national championship, the level you guys have been at for the last several years. Sorry we weren't able to join the party sooner.

While the pups have yet to even keep it close, it will be a warzone at Husky Stadium this year. That's perhaps the biggest road challenge we'll face (including Stanford).
Happy to have UCLA at home.

Re: Seattle Times readers rank Pac 12 recruiting classes
Wazzu #4? UW #2? Is this some sort of joke or prank? LOL. It must be, because WSU's recruiting class is right around the 11th best/worst in the P12 just above Colorado's. Their class was bad, and the negative news about Mike Leach really hurt them this year. Although "X-Box Tosh" was able to buy off many good players to come to Seattle again this year, UW's class is NOT #2. No way. Every major national publication sees it the same way. The Times' silly bias is really easy to see. They are a joke, and can't be taken seriously. UCLA was #1, followed by USC, then UW, then Oregon, in that order at the top, with Utah, WSU and Colorado at the bottom. --------------------------------------------- --- SuperCaptainObvious wrote: blogs.seattletimes.com/huskyfo...cruiting-class/1. Does this include the non-qualifiers Udumb is going to have? I've heard JoJo Mathis has NoNo chance of qualifying. There are also a couple others that are very borderline.
