hi Kimmie,
Nice effort today, losing your best recruit Hall, swinging and missing on all the good non Duck recruits Falah, Jack, Vanderdoushe, etc., not to mention the Ducks you so highly coveted - the Twins, Tyner, Mattingly, Voeller, Hunt, etc, etc.
Stay small little-man.

RE: The Montlake Midget
It is kinda surprising they had one big day about three months ago where basically a 1/3 of their class committed and then really nothing but fizzle. For all the talk of Tosh he wasn't able to get any big steals in and before you start the BS that it's his first year, that's exactly the point. You can either sell or you can't and it looks like this recruiting class he couldn't sell anything. It's one thing to sell Berkely to a local California kid, it's another thing to convince a California kid to come to a medicore school with bad weather.

actually, not a horrible class. In the conference top 5, arguably number 4 ahead of Stanford, and a huge gap between number five and the rest of the conference.

So Helfrich got every recruit he offered? No recruit went to any other school that Oregone offered also. And why can't Oregone actually do better in recruiting considering it's the greatest program on the coast since '94? And don't give me that we recruit to our system. Every school can say that. Why did Wilson pick Ohio St.? Didn't need him right.Johnny Ragin...naw...blah blah blah...

The bigger point is that for all the bluster you mutts have been spewing about how great your recruiting is this year, how bad our is this year, and how the gap is getting smaller... you end up with a team ranking two spots higher than us per Scout, and an average star ranking that is lower.
I don't even need to go down the road of head to head results on the field...

It hurts my feelings, sniff, sniff

If we are recruiting as well as you now. I'd say that is closing the talent gap. Which is what we are lacking. And why would that be, if you are so much better? That would be a concern to me. If our records are close next year? Then what? Better win up here next year. If you lose, the luster will be gone! How much better will our recruiting be, then yours, the next class? We'll find out next year. A lot of pressure on your new coach. I think he did well for the circumstances he was put in.

I think we undershot on some defensive players, considering we ended up with only 5 on the defense. UW I think is extra light on O-Linemen, considering how much time Price spent on his back. I think Oregon got about what they were looking to get. GGG19 wrote: So Helfrich got every recruit he offered? No recruit went to any other school that Oregone offered also. Oregon 3.47 average stars UWe'reBack 3.26
Congrats on signing 4 more players than Oregon based on available scholarships, but I prefer quality over quantity. Tosh sure pulled in the D-Line recruits, eh?
UDub's problem under Sark hasn't been recruiting...

Who the $hit is going to block for you DB's next year? Your qb will be running for his life every time he drops.

Leave it to a Husky fan to point to one (potential) win compared to the last 9 losses in a row. Moron.

I'll assume you mean blocking for RB's. The OL this year is about 2 deep with RS Frosh and RS Sophomores. We could have used a couple more OL in the class. But we really don't want to play new kids on the OL, if possible. Last years OL blocking tells you why. It would of been nice to had the depth that you had. But even with the depth, the talent is still lacking.

You don't think if you lose up here with Kelly gone, that won't change the perception of things? Those 9 wins in a row won't mean anything for the future. It would only bring questions, which weren't there with Kelly.

Going by Scout team rankings, you've been recruiting as well as us for years, and the gap hasn't closed at all judging by the head to head result last year.
Here's a clue for you Sherlock... it ain't just the talent gap.
I'm absolutely amazed by how you Doogs come over here and run your mouths every off-season with nothing to back it up. It is entertaining though.

There is a reason why we passed on Dane Crane and Andrew Kirkland and didn't offer. The Mutts are going to be weak up front for years to come!
Prevot and Mattingly will get to tee off.

The problem is that your frosh and sophmores suck. Our tackles and centers were sophmores and freshmen...they just don't suck. Also, Greatwood has a penchant for developing kids. Not only did you strike out on numbers but let's be honest here...we didn't offer Kirkland in our own backyard and we passed over your prized OL in Crane.
