Don't Fear the Tosh-Box

Looks like Daeshon Hall escaped the Tosh-Box emotional-hypnotism.  From the Scout story:

"And that's when he (Hall) realized it was the same thing he'd faced before," said Erika (Mother). "He had this connection with Coach (Tosh-Box) Lupoi at Washington. Coach Lupoi had been around for so long, since before he committed; he'd been riding with him the whole way through. Daeshon feels this sense of loyalty, like 'I'm going to be there for you and we're going to help bring a national championship to the University of Washington, I'm going to come home to Seattle.'"

"At this point, though, 'Dae Dae' realizes that's not what's best for him."

"So to make a decision outside of this emotional attachment that he's made, and to say what's best for me and my family is to take my talents elsewhere...

Full Scout story here. The Bold is my emphasis.

It does give insight into how Tosh works.  Get an emotional attachment going and make the kid feel that he can't let you down.  Keep their emotions running high so they don't look at the train wreak that is UW, etc.

Re: Don't Fear the Tosh-Box

It looks like several things worked against Washington here. His attachment to his mother, new friends in Texas, and the momentum of the Texas A&M program. I know that it is the SEC but my question is how does A&M have room for him. They have about 32 listed commits as we speak. I was under the impression that only 25 could be signed in one class. Either they didn't sign 25 last year and these will be early enrollees that will count aginst that class or they will have to greyshirt several committs. The other possiblity is that some won't be able to qualify.

Pretty sure they had a light class this year and they have an additional suite of 11 EE. I think they're class is going to be like 39.
