I guess it makes sense to bring up Pryor when you have nothing to brag about. I mean I like Oregon but this Ohio State bashing is nonsense. Do you really want to compare programs?

RE: Ohio state
The kid could not have went wrong with either school. We went through the same thing you guys are going through when Tress. was fired. We lost a few verbals to Michigan. Oregon will be fine. One thing I do want to point out is that OSU fans couldnt care less about the rest of the conference. We only care about OSU and OSU has been very succesful in BCS bowls. We lost a couple NC games but other than that OSU haas done very well in bowl games.

This one unfortunately is a causilty of Kelly leaving. Wilson said it himself, otherwise he'd be at Oregon.
Oh well, moving on.

could you remind us why your last coach left your school again?

So if you are looking for someone to blame, blame the person who wrote the university check for the "recruiting video".
Yes I realize violated rules as well but we already paid for ours and were not complaining about other teams.

The only thing the Big 10 has going for it is the show called "The Journey" on the Big 10 Network. Yes they are a good basketball conf but we are talking football and for the past few years they are subpar.

Just won a BCS bowl game, can we brag about that? Oh and how did your bowl game go?

Re: "lol" (3 votes)
I thought about this morning after hearing about Wilson ...
Wilson committed to Oregon. Kelly visited Wilson a day before Kelly decided to re-think the job offer from the Eagles. At the time Kelly was in Wilson's home Kelly was planning to reamin coach of the Ducks. Kelly changed his mind the next day.
If Wilson's commitment can be swayed by not getting a personal phone call from Chip on the busiest day of Chip's career to be told about the move to the Eagles, then that tells you something about Wilson's commitment to Oregon. I am sorry he felt "slighted" by not getting a personal call from Chip.
Good luck with Urban Meyer and Ohio State.

He was fired. And believe me we were raided way more than you guys were. Your transition has went is going as smooth as possible. If you only loose Wilson through this nice job Oregon!

Re: "lol"
Kelly announced his plans to leave Oregon for the Philadelphia Eagles on Jan. 16. According to reports, Kelly visited with Wilson and his family during a recruiting trip on Jan. 15.
"To me, it was wrong," Wilson said in the lead-up to his announcement, according to the Dallas Morning News. "It kind of hurt me a little."

Re: "lol" (4 votes)
Buckeyes got a very good talent, that will play early, BUT his loss at Oregon is probably the one least likely to hurt in this class at Oregon. That is not a diss on the kid, but recognizing that he was not likely to get any/many touches at RB, and would have been playing behind several other players like DAT at any receiving position. I still would like to see him as a Duck, but wish him well at Ohio State.

Re: Ohio state
Probably going to be the same story here in Columbus as well. We already have a very talented back field and with Hyde coming back next year, Wilson may not see much time behind the current lineup.

Right on. I was just commenting about the kid who was being discussed in this thread. My fault.

exactly; why grown men (presumably) get worked up over something like this is beyond me.

Uh and most of those was the @nd place team playing AT USC essentially.....how many Rose Bowls did Oregon win?

The only thing that has saved the Big Ten from further Rose Bowl embarrassment is the fact that some games were played without a Big Ten representative.
Since 1-1-2001 the Big Ten is 1-9 in Rose Bowls.

Your commentary on OSU depth was the point of my post.
The fact it got past you is less than suprising.

Re: Ohio state
I agree with you, I am trying to figure out the hate going to OSU. I think that if he was swayed this easily, then he likely would not have lasted a red shirt year in Oregon. Glad he went to tOSU and not a conference foe.
Also, The OSU fans at the Rose Bowl were great. Sat in your section, had a blast and really enjoyed the banter. I'll still flick some crap at times because of the tats scandle, but in reality I don't really care about it. I am a Duck fan...now, if Miami gets off clean, then that one I will be pissed about...

Not sure exactly what it is that I said in any of my posts that warranted a personal attack, but that's ok. I just came here to comment on the subject at hand, not attack anyone on this forum.
Good luck next season Ducks and congrats on the great BBall season you've got going so far.
