Billy Davis? *LMAO*
Wow, taking our leftovers? This dude wasn't even good enough for the 06 version of the Niners. He was so awful he got send to the corner mid season and garbage *** Mike Nolan took over the defensive playcalling. Great offseason so far Tards, real scared of you now after bringing in Billy Davis Pendergast was average as a DC, but you would have been way better off keeping him than hiring Davis. What is it with the rest of the West teams hiring our former terrible coaches? Mora and Knapp run a 99 cent store version of the WCO when compared to Holmgren and Davis coordinated maybe the worst defense in NFL history in his stint here before he got stripped of his duties.

That is just really, really funny. Great stuff rc. Yeah, these guys have been telling us how well the FO was going to do here. How everyone would flock to AZ because they had A/C all over and could add 30 yards to their golf drive just by showing up. Looks like they reached for the stars when they went for Billy Davis. Dude.... lose Pendergast and hire Davs? THEY REALLY ARE RETARDED!!! ALL OF THEM! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Dumbass has the team even confirmed this "rumor"? Until it has then STFU !!!!!!!!! BTW Davis didn't exactly have an all-star cast with the Niners now did he? Pendergast's riverboat defense was fun to watch, but we had some horrid games during the regular season. Philly was inexcusable, so was the MNF against you azz clowns. It was a joke. I liked the blitz packages and the way our front 7 played for him, but I HATED the way he utilized the secondary. We lost a couple games including the SB because of soft coverages in the secondary. He would play our guys 10-15 yards off the LOS. WR's would catch quick outlet passes and eat up 6 yards at a time. Not big plays, but first down after first down. Killed us last year particularily on end-of-game drives. Now before you throw any more stones from your glass gopher hole you call a home, the Lions OC turned down a job with you pukes. He thought the Lions had a better shot at winning than you guys. How's that for confidence Richard?

Re: Billy Davis? *LMAO*
Rumors are just that until a team official states it's a fact. I'll say this much though. If this does turn out to be true, and Davis has similar results with what happened in SF, a lot of that goodwill that Whiz developed with the Cards fans will evaporate. I was a fan of Clancy, but not everybody shares my views on this topic. I think Whiz is taking a big gamble here. Clancy was not horrible at all and Offenses were off-balance most games. I stand by the statement that our talent on D is better than yours was a few years ago when he was the coordinator, and that is a HUGE factor. However, ranking close to DFL in almost every category doesn't inspire the greatest confidence. I guess we'll see, but I'll wait until a team official makes the announcement. I was hoping we'd end up with Butler, but what are you going to do? Ole' Jimmy wasn't your first choice either I'm sure

How's that for confidence Richard? Bill Davis' defense by points allowed before Nolan sent him home: 34 to Arizona 13 to SL 38 to Philly 41 to KC 20 to Oakland 48 to SD 41 to Chicago After Nolan took it over: 3 to Minny 13 to Detroit 14 to Seattle 20 to SL 34 to NO 30 to GB 14 to Seattle 26 to Arizona 23 to Denver Results? 33.5 PPG allowed under your new DC Billy Davis(lol) and only 19.6 PPG allowed under Nolan. Talent level was the same, only difference between those two halves of the season was the coach. 2 TDs less allowed after Billy Davis got his job taken from him, lol. You say you hated the way Pendergast handled the secondary? Well, you're going to hate the way Davis handles the whole thing because dude flat out SUCKS. Unless he learned how to coach defense in the two years since he got fired here which I doubt. Enjoy him, you guys deserve him as DC

Nice try at trying to flip the script, but this is a reminder of what you ducked in our exchange about "leftovers". Do you want me to dig up my response to your smack that you didn't have a comeback for? And speaking of response, in case you never noticed, I don't initiate smack........ever..........I respond to it.

Re: Billy Davis? *LMAO*
LMAO, Q don't have sour grapes buddy. I guess my stating all along that you have an arena league caliber QB, excuse me "game manager" resonated yesterday. Lame azz Offense on display. Once teams get a little film on Alex Smith, he will meet a similar fate. Your fast start kind of queafed out PDQ didn't it? The good news is you and the Seagulls can fight over the title of first loser in the NFC.
On the bright side, Vernon actually caught a few passes yesterday. It really surprises me that he wasn't overcome with a wave of emotions, and let the runny mascera get into his eyes. I've seen teenage girls hold it together better than that guy.
Q your team is improving, keep your head up. Know that you're better than about 40% of the league now, and you have a couple 1st rounders in next year's draft.
As for our MNF game, I can't wait to see us knock you out of playoff contention ... if someone else doesn't beat us to it !!!!!!!

again... i love the praise you were singing for Billy Davis earlier this season... nice consistency there Red... consistency of only boasting after the fact... well done werent you the genius predicting a total blow out last time we played? or even last year on MNF?

Re: Billy Davis? *LMAO*
I stand by my critcism of Davis earlier this season. I understood where he was coming from. He wants a pure 3-4 as does Whiz. However, traditionally the 3-4 relies heavily on the OLB's getting pressure from the edges and containing the run. Our OLB's aren't great pass rushers and are a little long in the tooth thus having lost a step. Davis finally figured out that we have phenomenal inside pass rushers especially with 2-gap NT's like Gabe Watson and Alan Branch, even B-Rob can occupy 2 blockers that allow Dansby, Rolle, Wilson, and even Hayes to shoot through an open lane get a hand up or rush the passer. In our scheme last night, we rushed up the middle and had Okeafor and Haggans hang out on the wings to contain the run and keep Eli from scrambling if he tried to run around outside. Non-traditional ... yes. Effective ... I'll let you decide that one. I give Davis credit for changing things up, blitzing heavy and often. A lot of coaches (ahem Denny Green) are too stubborn to change things to be based around their team. It took a lot of balls to come after Eli like he did. Clancy would have played a 3-man rush and employed a soft-zone/prevent coverage that would have lost the game for us last night. I give Whiz credit for making the coordinator change despite all the other off-season changes that happened. I know you're always right and all I love to be wrong sometimes. As for me being off the mark playing you guys, yeah who would have thought Fitz would have dropped 3 passes in that game? Who would have thought a guy named Parys and Justin Smith would have been able to rush the passer? We had a fluke game against you after losing both coordinators, and you know it. Next time we meet, we'll have things a little better figured out. As for boasting after the fact, yeah that is usually how life works. I know you're a descendent of Nostradamus and can so accurately see the future. However, the reality is the Niners played better than they were capable of the first few games. A tough schedule ahead, and one can see where the fork in the road occured. The beatdown and humbling of your team and its fans following the Falcons loss.
