PULL the TRIGGER!!
Wonder when the Cards will pull the tigger and decide on who the next HC will be of this team? The is no more competition for the leftovers. I'd hate for Horton to be announced the HC since there is no one else available. That has to leave a lasting impression on Horton and this teams commitment to building a winning franchise.
Jags and Cards the only two teams left to find head coaches.
The risk of failure is great, but the risk of not making the necessary changes to improve ones self will surely spell disaster!

Re: PULL the TRIGGER!!
Horton is coordinator with only 2 years of experience who wants to bring a slew of unproven assistants over to his staff. I think Bidwill was underwhelmed as I would have been with the choices, and let's face it Horton ain't going anywhere to be a HC there is no rush.
Besides who gave Horton a chance to be a DC in this league ? We did, a little patience with the process is something I'd expect from him. He understands the business and will get his shot someday, still this year maybe.

RE: PULL the TRIGGER!!
With all the new NFL coaches this year Horton will go if offered the right package to be DC if they/cards do not get there sh-t together soon.

RE: PULL the TRIGGER!!
He can't go be a DC somewhere else, he is under contract for another year with us. Unless the Jaguars suddenly decide he's their man, he will be our DC or HC maybe.

Horton can't go elsewhere without a mutual parting of ways. Every once in awhile, it happens. Can't think of a specific instance right now, though.

Got it, if the new coach wants to retain him.

Some people on this site did not believe me when I said Arians wants to bring over his own DC and Horton will be out.... I rest my case.

RE: PULL the TRIGGER!!
The way I look at it is, even if Horton kept his cool and handled being passed over for promotion with class, if the D had another successful year he probably would have gotten picked for a HC job and we lost him in a year anyways.
I can understand Arians' concern about having a disgruntled coach on his team (which Horton clearly was after this). A divided locker room does nobody any good. Arians is the man now. Unfortunately for him, he has a huge task ahead of him. If the Defense struggles and the Offense sputters again this year, there will be no honeymoon period for the team and him with the fans. I think he realizes this.
