A brief love note to the "BPA-bots"

A brief love note to the "BPA-bots"

John Elway and John Fox have flipped the Broncos from one of the worst to one of the best, most complete rosters in the NFL in only two years.  They used a mix of free agent signings and mostly the draft.

How did they turn a horrible defense into a great one?  They kept drafting the best players AT POSITIONS OF NEED for the defense they intended to run.

Now, having a complete roster, the Broncos have earned themselves the luxury of drafting the best player available at any position.

So when I hear "BPA" like a mindless chant, it tells me the chanting parrots want to build a fantasy football team, rather than a real one that has to block and tackle.

Well said.....
BE MORE CONCERNED WITH YOUR CHARACTER THAN YOUR REPUTATION. YOUR CHARACTER IS WHO YOU REALLY ARE, AND YOUR REPUTATION IS ONLY WHAT OTHERS THINK YOUR ARE.....

I remember when the ding-a-lings were chanting Josh McCown was a better QB than Kurt Warner because of his higher win percentage WITH the Cardinals.  I've seen a lot here at the Scout.com Arizona Cardinals forum over the years, let me tell you.  :)

So the Elway/Fox approach is one that only a "ding-a-ling" would approve?  Interesting take...

Elway/Fox drafted Von Miller when they NEEDED a quarterback.

No, they drafted what they needed more, which was another pass rushing threat on the other side of Elvis Dumervil b/c they were not making enough plays on defense.  The real NEED was to shore up one of the worst defenses in the NFL.  They decided to roll with Orton and Tebow, which turned out to be an awfully smart move.

Yes, you're winning this argument just like you are winning the "who follows Whisenhunt" disaster you started....

BTW, Frank, who are Orton and Tebow starting for these days, anyway?

Wow your ignorance continues to grow... um, Fox calculated they could make do with that situation.  They squeaked into the playoffs and unloaded Orton mid-season.  They have since solved their QB problem, I think.

Me and a few others refered to him as McClown at that time if my elephant memory still serves me.

If I were the Cards I would definitely make do with Kolb this season, and focus on reaping the benefits of a deep class of offensive linemen in the draft this year.

Did we NEED to draft Leonard Davis instead of LaDainian Tomlinson?

Did we NEED to draft Levi Brown instead of Adrian Peterson?

Did we NEED to shift these two players from their customary positions?

Just some food for thought.

It's too bad that when Scout rebooted or whatever that all those post's were lost. You had a co-moderator from Canada at that time. Don't remember his name, damn, memory is going after all.
