Quarterback or Offensive Lineman?

Quarterback or Offensive Lineman?

Our problems on offense are no secret. This draft has some great lineman at the top, (where we will be) and 3 or 4 QB's in the mix. You know my stance is, nobody can throw the ball, or run the ball, behind this line! So do we draft Luke Joeckel or Chance Warmack and have a future Pro-Bowl lineman in the fold, or do we draft a Geno Smith or Matt Barkley? I say draft lineman, early and often! We need a center, too.

Games are won in the trenches...OL
BE MORE CONCERNED WITH YOUR CHARACTER THAN YOUR REPUTATION. YOUR CHARACTER IS WHO YOU REALLY ARE, AND YOUR REPUTATION IS ONLY WHAT OTHERS THINK YOUR ARE.....

I think there are enough veteran QB's potentially available that would afford us to go heavy OL in the draft.

Joeckel is going to be Joe Thomas part 2 for us bro.  The guy we should have had and needed, but we get the next up.  We have to get a Day 1 starter here.  I think Warmack has to be our guy.  There should be at least 1 LT FA we can make a push for.  Our line got blown up today.  How can you evaluate your RB's and QB's when the boys in front aren't equipped to do their part ?  How can you evaluate the WR's when the QB ... you get the idea.

I do like T'eo outta ND to pair with Washington.  THe only way I see BPA working to fix our issues.

As for QB, I don't see one QB that I like in this college class.  Every single one has huge red flags.  There are a lot of similarties to this class and the QB class of '06 IMO.

Re: Quarterback or Offensive Lineman?

The best player available will be an offensive lineman and we'll probably pass him by, for a skill player. We've been doing it for years. Maybe a change at the top will give us the trench players we need to suceed.

Trade down and get as many picks as possible and draft OL and as any as possible! This line sucks and has for years!

See Levi Brown vs. Adrian Peterson.  That guy will be protecting Matt Leinart's blind side for years to come, they say.  Speaking of Matt Leinart, how did he do today for the Raiders?

It appears Leinart din't play after all.  Too bad, I was curious.

Re: Quarterback or Offensive Lineman?

Our o-line, quarterback, and 5-11 are the disaster! Not being able to spot and develop talent, that's disaster. Whoever we draft in the 1st round needs to be playing!! Not a project. If we stay true to our draft board and draft the best player available, in an area of need, it will be an offensive lineman. No thinking involved, just do it. (Tackle, guard, and center needed in this draft)

RE: Quarterback or Offensive Lineman?

I'm seeing three OT's currently with first-round draft grades and I'm sure a couple more will emerge to be first rounders. Cards need to move up and down the draft board and secure additional picks when possible. If the value is not there for an o-lineman at pick No. 7, then move down and then get your guy. Don't reach and don't go with another position.

Also, I don't really like any of the QBs that will be at the top of this draft. Not that they don't have potential, just don't see many of them playing/winning early. Should be some mid to upper tier QBs availble via free agency.
