Just gonna lay it all out there...

Just gonna lay it all out there...

If Whisenhunt continues to play Ryan Lindley this team will not win another game this season and finish 4-12.. something no team that started a season 4-0 has ever done in the history of the NFL.

If that happens he makes the decision really easy for Michael Bidwill.

This situation is very similar to what the Broncos faced in Shanahan's waning years.  Fat and resting on his laurels, Shanahan was always an offensive guru but couldn't build a defense to save his life, despite having a blank check from Pat Bowlen.

Whisenhunt appears to have the opposite problem.. having lucked into Curt Warner's swan song, and with a bona fide offensive coordinator in Todd Haley, Whis rode the wave to the big dance.  Since both Warner and Haley have departed the offense has gotten progressively worse.  The run game has been a complete joke.. which, with no Warner and no Haley, one would think Whisenhunt would have attended to by now.

Whiz is a bona fide OC, Frank.

In that case he's really done his career a great deal of harm, I'm afraid.  Because his fingerprints are all over this mess.. and they have run through quite a list of young QBs who just haven't panned out.

When you consider that Big Ben's best work has always been unscripted, I wonder just how bona fide Whis is as an OC.  He's certainly no Shanahan.

Whiz's thing in Pittsburgh was a power running game.  He comes to AZ and finds himself sitting on a goldmine in Warner.  The golden goose stopped laying the year after their Super Bowl loss.  I like what I've seen from Kolb when he/they gets things going.

Kolb had definitely starting improving when he got hurt.  The problem is that our rushing offense under Whis has never been terribly effective, and without a HOF QB it's downright putrid.  So we're left with nothing for offense.

How does an "offensive guru" like Whis not yet have a power running game?  Was Michael Floyd going to make that happen?

Man I was hoping we would have drafted Doug Martin last April. Instead we stick with baby huey Wells.

The point is that he's a luxury we could not afford.

Didnt need Martin either...Games are won in the trenches and althought we are winning the DL battle we are getting our asses handed to us on the OL.....We have 4 guys that are brutal at best, with Colledge being IMO ranked 10-20th guy at his position...No run game, no pass game. YOU HAVE TO BUILD AN OL IN ORDER TO WIN...Sadly, I dont like our future...Trade Fitz for a 1,2 and next years 2 if someone is willing. Hell we gave a 1 (DRC) and a 2 for Kolb

So the status quo as far as running backs are concerned suits you? I understand the frustration. Draft this guy or that. All of us are near wits end. Just keep the faith is all I can suggest.

With an offensive line that bad it just doesn't matter who's running the ball.  They have to undertake a serious, concerted effort to upgrade the whole thing.  Then let's quibble over who runs the ball.

It gets back to one of my statements that this team is in one hell of a mess thanks to GRAVES and WHUZ

Frankin,

Did you hear that Whiz said on Mike and Mike in the morning? He was saying that he has been really disappointed in the QB play this season.

I wonder what games he has been watching?banghead

Not even to mention the OL might be a problem as to why the QB play has been so awful....YA THINK???

I will not throw any of the QB's under the bus until the OL gets straightened out.

Last year, Skelton at least managed the games on the 7-2 win streak and the line was only a little better. I think the OL being this poor has seriously affected the QB's. I am not saying they are the best, but Kolb and Skelton can be adequate with a halfway decent OL.

The risk of failure is great, but the risk of not making the necessary changes to improve ones self will surely spell disaster!

+ 1.  Fix the O-line and you can see who is doing work at the skill positions.
