Cardinals @ Falcons

Is this where we stop the freefall? Michael Turner has had a subpar year yet as Reddog pointed out a few weeks ago, underachieving players and teams sure seem to get well in a hurry when facing us. Hopefully we turn the tide with this one.

Re: Cardinals @ Falcons

Like I said in another post just now :

Roddy is played hard all day by Peterson.  Patrick had a miserable game in GB, and if he limits Roddy he has done his job.  He gets in trouble when he does too much.  Focusing on Roddy he will have his hands full there and he nows it.

No Julio biggrin

No Weatherspoon on D to account for biggrin

The Falcons seem to be sticking with Turner for now, he has looked sloooow lately and this will help.

We have played TE's tough all year I think we are top 2 for that stat line.

I think we might have a shot if Julio doesn't suit up.  Shock the world fellas !!!!

Brian Baldinger picked the Cards to win this evening on the NFLN. The point spread dropped too.

We have the worst play calling in the league!!! So friggin' elemental and ultra concervative. This is a direct reflection on the head coach and "offensive" coordinator. This isn't high school.bangheadeek1ohlordflushed Putting Lindlay in there is a sign of giving up to me and throwing to Doucet all the time is not going to get a first down EVER. THROW THE BALL DOWN THE FIELD. What happened to the running game?

Yes, we could not believe the starter was taken out for a rookie QB. The kid has a big time arm but lacked timing.

Re: Cardinals @ Falcons

You have to remember our coach thinks the QB is just like any other position.  You can change players at any time and there shouldn't be a drop off in talent.  I don't question letting Lindley start at some point this season.  However, putting him in a hostile environment against a Defense that is pretty good in the 2nd quarter when the season and momentum is going your way ... that I don't understand.

I don't see much good coming from that.  Yes Skelton sucked up to that point and maybe the outcome would have been the same or worse with a couple turnovers, but this game didn't give Lindley a confidence booster.  I would have demoted Skelton next game if we lost and given him a full week of practice with our starters before throwing him out to the wolves.  That's just me ...

If you're going to demote Skelton, then do it at the start of the "bye" week so Lindley can get some reps in. Makes no sense!

Yea guys we were lucky, but you know I agree with pulling Skelton, the guy was  horrible, could not hit the broad side of a barn ...had Kolb been playing, you would have beat us badly.....you all got a good core with that team, you'll be back ....

Yeah I would have been fine with that too.  I really think Lindley is the same type of QB that Skelton is.  Inaccurate, big arm.  Inaccurate QB's have been constant since Warner retired around here.  IMO you can't fix it by the time they get to this level.
