Good Game Saints Fans
We played pretty crappy and were still right there in the End. Can't win on the Road vs Good Teams when you have 3 Turnovers, One being in the Redzone and the other being a Pick 6, 2 Missed FGs and when the other team makes ridiculous catch after ridiculous catch. For those that know me, I dont ever blame games on Refs nor do I blame this one on it. But their were a ton of missed calls. (Both Ways) I could not believe their was no Pass Interference Call on that Roddy White TD that got overturned. I know some will also say Roddy pushed off on the Long TD but Greer also tried to cut off Roddys route which is illegal. Not to mention the Defensive Holding call on Bush on a 3rd Down where the ball was way off and not even catchable. Otherwise we get the ball right back and still only down 28-24. But anyway, Calls did not cost us the game. ****** play did. Good game and good luck going forward. You should (barring any huge injuries) have the division on lock considering your remaining schedule has maybe 3 losses at max. I think (as i did before this game played out) we will take you in Atlanta and this game did nothing to change that opinion. It would be pretty sweet to play again a 3rd time in the Playoffs against each other! :)

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
Man what a game!! It was a game right to the end. I thought we were going to lose this one several times. The Falcons had the momentum a lot of the 2nd half. I didn't like the fumble call on PT. The ball was out, but it looked to me like he had recovered it. The whistle didn't blow for a while though and that's just how it goes. I didn't like the penalty on Peterson saying he interfered w/ Bush. That's just football to me. I thought the MRyan incomplete pass call was good. There were SO MANY plays in this game that were SO CLOSE. I wouldn't have wanted to be an official. WTF was up w/ the clock in the 2nd quarter? MTurner is a beast. Very big load to bring down. Who do we have to cover Gonzo effectively? I thought given the size difference Harper did a good job. If this game was in Atlanta, I don't think we would have won.

I really like Matt Ryan but he was terrible tonight, SS. 3 interceptions and under 50% completion percentage. He's actually in a slump right now. 7 ints in the last 3 games. He'll bounce back tho, the kid has alot of talent.

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
2 of his 3 INTs really can't go on him today BRT. The 2nd was a GREAT play by Vilma to tip it and Porter to scoop it up before it hit the ground. Its kinda like the Grimes INT on Brees. You really can't blame the QB there, its just a Great Play by the defender/defenders. The 3rd INT was simply a Hailmary Play. They happen all the time to QBs just throwing it up hoping for a miracle. The First INT was really bad but me being a Falcons fan, I could also argue their was a bit of contact there and Roddy got practically ran through. Either way, Its a throw Ryan should not have made and it cost us. I do agree though that over the last couple of games Ryan has not been himself. Good news is our schedule finally lightens up (3rd Toughest Starting 8 Games -- 7th Easiest Last 8 Games) and we should be able to win a good amount of our remaining games (Buff,TBx2,Was,Car,NYJ) and go into the playoffs as a wildcard, and on a streak.

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
His biggest flaw I saw tonight, was he has a tendency to stare down his target. Other than that he never lost his poise.

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
Well, outside of the Greer pick 6, u have a trashcan pick for Sharper on the hail mary, and then you have a deflected pass that if not hit prolly goes for 6 to Gonzo. Turner exposed us, dude was turning the corner before our outside LBs even realized what the play was. Add this game in the pile with the Dolphins and Bills games, to close for my comfort.

I agree, DJ. Not doggin Ryan by any stretch. I've seen him play a few games and he just didn't look real sharp tonight. 3 of 11 on third down. (uugh) Prolly didn't help that he was wearin Will Smith's jersey all night. The first int is really the only one that he gaffed on. That was a fun game to watch. I didn't have a rooting interest but it's games like that that make me a football fan.

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
That int that Grimes had was SICK!!! I don't know if I've ever seen a guy jump that high. Brees threw a good pass. Might wanna check that kid's shoes for helium......

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
He is really short too (barely 5'9). If not for Grimes ability to Jump he would get abused quite often by WRs. I could not believe just how high he got there though.

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
He didnt even jump that play lol. Grimes probably has one of the best Verticles in the NFL. Colsten has some very nice hops too. Grimes - 5'9 Colsten - 6'4 Not exactly a Fair Matchup there though lol.

RE: Good Game Saints Fans
I dont agree with your explanation of cutting the route off on Greer. The route was done where Greer stopped. He saw the ball was coming down right where he stopped and went for the ball. White collided and then pushed off. It was a bad call, but there were several on both sides.

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
That was a very good game...both teams fighting hard...some great plays on both sides...defintely one that had me holding my breath at the end... Some questionable calls and no-calls by the officials last nite....for both sides....

Re: Good Game Saints Fans
Best thing about the last 2 games is our ability to play through the mistakes and win in the end. Not a pretty game by any stretch yet we still find a way. Hats off to Atlanta. They gave us a hell of a match up and hung in there through there mistakes as well....just ran out of time in the end. I am so ready for a 35-0 halftime lead and coasting in the second half type of game. This tight stuff is killing me.....
