Kenny Stills aggravates quad versus Colts

frown

Kenny Stills aggravated his quad injury in Saturday night's preseason game against the Colts. The same injury cost Stills each of New Orleans' first two preseason games. Stills started Saturday's exhibition -- ahead of rookie Brandin Cooks -- but fell hard on a first-quarter deep-ball attempt from Drew Brees that fell incomplete. It's now a question whether Stills will be 100 percent for Week 1.

Hopefully he will be o.k.. We have a ton of competition at that position though, so if he has to sit it will give someone else a chance to pick up some reps.

Larry Holder has us carrying 6 WRs on the 53 man roster.

Since we only carried 5, they must have confidence he will be back soon, unless we pick up another as obviously we aren't done with our roster.

This is the hard thing about the NFL and its rules.  You have to make it through Week One which sucks for us because it is Atlanta.

If a player is on the roster for Week One he gets paid all year.  Now if the Saints manage to make it through the Atlanta Game with 4 or 5 receivers then they can add a Coleman or Meachem week to week without breaking the bank.
