Just sayin.
Even a recent article stated that Spags was eager to get Payton back so together they could figure out what direction and how to fix this defense.

http://www.nola.com/saints/ind...nsive_c_44.htmlI'm sorry and this is just my opinion, but Spags has not impressed me much. He is a former head coach and a former defensive coordinator. This guy seems like he has no clue how to work with the current players or install a system that can be successful.
I understand that when you take over a new role it is never going to be easy, but you have to find some marriage between the old system and the new system until you can get the players necessary to run what you want.
Spags at times seemed like a coach that only knows one way to do things. In this league you have to adjust. You are not going to call for the same coverage with Patrick and Mack at the Corners as you would with Robinson and Greer.
