Ultimately Payton has to be blamed for this hire. Maybe he felt pressure because Williams was having to be let go so he wanted to make a "Home Run Hire". Well like most Home run hitters sometimes you swing an miss.Either Spags was not honest about being able to run his system with the personel or Spags was not willing to adapt his system o fit the players.Either way Spags was a bad fit, so the question has to be what direction do we go in now. 2012 is gone and we have to go forward.Payton has to sit down and figure out why we were so bad. How many players are we short? Is it something that can be fixed through the draft and free agency or is this a total makeover?Ultimately the decision may have to be made to let Spags go and bring in someone new. Through the draft and free agency you might be able to pick up 4-5 pieces to fit into the puzzle.
