Early Superbowl picks and predictions

Well...things are starting to shape up and become a tad bit clearer for the playoffs...yea...there's still a couple of hit's and misses coming this weekend for a couple of teams...but my picks don't have to worry about their playoff futures..they're in...

While it would be hard to bypass Atlanta as a favorite...I'm gonna pass on the Failclowns...mostly because they've failed like clowns to give me a reason to take them seriously...call it luck...call it a favoritable schedule...but as the media has pointed out...who have the Failclowns beat [other than a rusty Peyton Manning led team] ealier in the season...but who have they dominated this season...yea...they beat the Giants...but the Giants were going downhill at that time...so the Failclowns aren't my pick...neither are the Packers....the Pack won't be back...sorry Rogers...no double check this time around...49'ers ???...I liked them earlier...Kapernick seems to be the real deal at QB and is definitely better than Alex Smith...but did anyone see what the Seahawks did to them...sheesh...which leads me to my NFC Superbowl candidate...yes...the Seahawks...

Last season...I mentioned that all Denver needed was a QB to take them to the Superbowl...especially after watching a Tim Tebow led team almost get there...well folks...they got their QB...and like the thousands of fans up in Mile High country...I'm a believer that the Broncos will go the distance and be the AFC Superbowl candidate...

Seattle and Denver...with....BINGO...Peyton Manning not only winning "Come Back Player of the Year" award...but will also win MVP in the Superbowl this February....stay tuned to see if Bubba's Crystal ball prediction becomes reality....wink

I like those picks, particularly Denver for the AFC. Seattle is a good pick for the NFC, but they wouldn't play at home if it came down to those guys versus the Falcons. As much as I don't care for Atlanta's football team, in some ways they seem like a team of destiny. Lots of things just went right for them this season, very similar to how the Saints' Superbowl season went down. Believe it or not, my animosity towards the Falcons didn't come about through games between the Saints and Falcons, but through games between the 49ers and Falcons. The Saints always played the 49ers tough, even when they had Montana and Young. Atlanta seemed to always lose to the 49ers by 30 points or so, at least. They were terrified of San Francisco. In some of those years, if they had just managed to split victories with the Whiners, they or the Saints might've won the freaking division. But no: it was always 0-2, 0-2, 0-2, ...

I will wait and see how the final spots work out.

If the Skins win the East and Vikings win the 6th WC then we will have

Green Bay hosting Minnesota and Washington hosting Seattle

I like Green Bay and Seattle to Advance.

That would leave Green Bay at SF and Seattle at Atlanta.

I like Green Bay and Atlanta.

In that game I like Green Bay.

In the NFC, I like Seattle. They play great defense, have a great running game and smart QB play. The same could be said of San Francisco, but I like Wilson better than Kapernick. In the AFC, I think it's a toss up between Denver and New England. Houston still has to show me they can win in a big time game. Maybe then I'll start believing in them.
