Kalil lost for Season, Season just gets better and better....
Panthers coach Ron Rivera announced Wednesday that center Ryan Kalil suffered a foot injury against the Seahawks that will knock him out for the rest of the season. He's going to injured reserve. The Charlotte Observer reports it's a Lisfranc injury.

Kalil has been a main stay on the line. This will really hurt the offense.

If Hurney uses this as an excuse his ass needs to be canned.
Hangartner has proven to be a decent center. He sucks at RG so perhaps Williams can be upgrade at his spot. Campbell at RT and Bell at RG is an entertaining thought to me as well.

Hangartner at Center, Bell at RG, and Campbell at RT would be a huge midseason overhaul, but I think it could be our best combination. Gary Williams isn't good

Maybe this will be the catalyst for Chud to back off on the dosage of the run option that hasn't been working.

blogs.charlotte.com/panthers/2...-of-season.htmlhearing that the we'll likely Hit FA & maybe trade but It could be for a OG as Geoff Hangartner has more snaps at Center than RG

Cut Kalil and be done with it. He's injury prone and sucks anyway.

That's the only major injury we have had. In fact thus far it has been the reverse with Thomas Davis making history.

I don't see Kalil as injury prone & many, many folks around the nfl think he's one of the best Centers in the NFL

Re: Kalil lost for Season, Season just gets better and
I am hearing low radar blips that at the QB sneak, his foot was already messed up. Rivera knew it...and I am NOT endorsing that one bit, just passing on what NFL.com is told to me as having reported. "For that reason" Rivera did NOT call the QBS.

Rivera may have known it, but at the time it was thought to be a minor injury. This is football, there's no one to blame in a situation as this.
Pickle- I was being sarcastic.

Pickle- I was being sarcastic. Exactly, that is why I thought I made it clear...I wasn't blaming Rivera, but it must have been disconcerting enough to modify a big play! Maybe GH could have gone in whilst they tested or treated it? I dunno

I think he the Roll out & throw to a TE was the right call with our RG out & our Center Hurt & no Brad Hoover type FB Beside the TE was wide open & would have been a easy TD if Cam would have thrown a good ball

the panthers ran, ran and ran again in 08. that same season the o-line was a mess. that may have been the season that otah started getting hurt on a weekly basis. never had the same starting 5 on the line consecutively. anyway, my point is if you can run then you can run the ball. no questions.

in '08 we had maulers on the right side of the line in Keydrick Vincent and Otah. That team was built to run

Right guard Geoff Hangartner will shift to center, and Jeff Byers and Garry Williams will compete at right guard. Rivera said the Panthers will look outside the organization for offensive line help, as well. Read more here: www.charlotteobserver.com/2012...l#storylink=cpy

Read more here: www.charlotteobserver.com/2012...l#storylink=cpy They better do A lot better than the no named signing they just had at Center. Sad sad sad. When will this team spend any money ? It's cause Hurney dumped it all on Deangelo fumbleitis Williams and Jake Tommy John Delhomme. Jesus what a sad situation.
