Analysis: Carolina Panthers limit Cam Newton’s leap

http://www.charlotteobserver.c...hers-limit.html

ok I'm posting this for discussion  because the writer is wrong he made it sound like Rivera & Chud told make Cam Not to run when the run-pass option means the QB had the choice at the line to run it or throw it & Cam Said in his post game presser that he choose to throw it so why blame Rivera for Cam's mistake  that said i still think the problem isn't the players as much as the coachs & GM

I said it before, and I'll say it again....we win, when we run the ball.
DeAngelo had 6 touches, Stewart had 4, Tolbert 3

We win when we move the chains. Now alot of that is on the ground, but defenses know we want to run. They are attacking our line like crazy. We've got to get a more consistent passing attack that can move chains and aid the running game as well. Our routes take way too long. We don't have any receivers who go across the middle and get us 6 or 7 quickly. We've got to make the ends and LBs have to drop in coverage more and cover guys. Cam is sitting in the pocket and Steve is doubled and very few guys are open. We need to utilize J-Stew more in the passing game as well. This is why I was so big on continuing to give Cam more weapons higher in the draft. He needs a big receiver who can go across the middle. Smitty is aging and there is no go-to weapon.

No, it isn't about having guys in the middle. It's about Cam not trying for the big play, every play. Olsen was open over the middle all day and Cam didn't find him until the last drive. LaFell was open short all day.
Stewart and DeAngelo had bad games when it comes to the screen passes they dropped/fumbled.
Smitty had a bad game with missing some catches he would have usually made.
Incosistancy, and a lack of fundimental play is what is killing this team. These, are things that hang on the coaching staff.

From what I am reading Cam knows the problem is coming from pressure within himself...to win, to be the star he always wishes himself to be. I have said numerous times, he needs a serious analyst who can refocus negative thoughts.
