MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
Do we just pull for the Saints to win to keep the Falcons closer to us? I want whatever is best for the Panthers!

RE: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
Close game in the 4th- I'm going for the Saints. I think they've already gotten hold of the NFC South title, so we should shoot for the wild card. The Falcons aren't out of reach... plus I hate them more than any other team.

Watching the game our defense matches up well with the Saints. If we can get the running game going and a few decent passes we can win imo.

RE: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
I made a thread about the game over in The League forum. These Saints receivers have been amazing tonight. They've caught everything. The announcers have been swinging from Brees' nether regions all night, but he's thrown a lot of off balls that his receivers have made amazing plays on. Very impressed by the Saints receivers tonight.
On the other side of the ball, Matt Ryan looked like crap. He's a darned good young QB, but tonight just was not his night.

Yea, good game. Very interesting. Watching it makes me think the Saints are beatable next week, if we play like we did this week. I was definitely rooting for the Saints, the NFC South title is out of reach, but the Wild Card isn't quite. With the NFC East as close as it is, and the top 3 playing so inconsistantly, they might only send 1.

Re: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
To clarify, with the Dolphins and Falcons both pushing the Saints to the wire, the team that showed up yesterday is better than the Dolphins and Falcons (in my opinion), therefore might be able to beat the Saints. I'm not making a prediction, I doubt we have much of a shot...but I said the same thing about the game this week, and we went out and manhandled a team very similar to the Saints.

RE: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
The key to winning this game will be to pound the football and control the clock and make Brees and company watch from the sidelines as much as possible. We'll have to win ugly. Just punch them in the face on both sides of the ball.
If we don't dominate the time of possession, we probably don't win this game. We also have to keep the game close. We won't win this game coming from behind either.
It's winnable, but we have to control the game and force them to play our game because we can't beat them at theirs.

Re: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
The Cardinals are very similar to the Saints, which means we'll probably stick with the same exact gameplan. Which means Sean Payton will know exactly what's coming. Then again, it's not complicated and the Cards knew too - they just couldn't stop it. Jake needs to throw no more than 10 times if we're going to win. The Saints defense is a little overrated, but they do have some serious ballhawks in their secondary. Good news is their DL is hurting a little with Ellis out so we should be able to run on them. If the defense can play the way they did against Arizona, we'll win. If not, it'll be ugly.

RE: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
Good game last night. I was hoping for a physical and close matchup. I am hoping N.O. is worn out and the short week will not do them any favors. They should be ripe for an upset. We usually play them tough.

RE: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
Before you compare us to Arizona, you might wanna look at some stats. Arizona is one dimensional. They win by throwing. We win by throwing, running and creating Turnovers. With Jake hurting I can promise we'll be after him early and often. Your Running Game scares the hell outta me. Those guys are beasts! I look for a 7 point Game, the winner being whomever makes the least mistakes.

Re: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
we all know fox insn't the brightest coach in the world (understatement?) so i hope he holds to one of my new favorite quotes: "How do you fight someone smarter than yourself? The answer is simple. You make her think that you are sitting down across the table from her, ready to play her game. Then you punch her in the face as hard as you can." -Rand Al'Thor just replace the hers with him or them (the other coach, or team)

Re: MNF - Saints vs. Falcons
While it is history now, my game plan was that we vote for Saints, since while seeing their perfecto season be blown, the single loss would do nadda for us, but putting the Coke City boyz close to our record was my final prayer! I'd live with a WC spot if it ever came to that..
