NEW GM MAKING STRONG STATEMENT
New GM is showing his value already. He seems to be going through all of our contracts and taking an objective long term look. He has been very smart to keep the public voice out there saying we can "find a way" to keep our key players. I can see him adjusting all of the key player contract this year and next to make them work best for Team and players.
None of our players with the big contracts can say they can't afford to throw some back. Almost every one of those contracts was high end for thier position. He is trying to shape for the signing of Cam and Kracken in very near future.
Draft is deep in most of our positions of need.

Re: NEW GM MAKING STRONG STATEMENT
I am hearing and reading all over the place Gamble's as good as gone gone, and there wil likely be some real shocks ahead! Hurney's surely smiling.
The weak will fall and this team is going to look different IMHO. That makes G smile.

I don't think we'll see many cuts, but I do expect some more restructures before the cap compliance deadline.

Makes reconsturcting a good option for most of our players. Only 2 FA is see us bringing back are D Edwards and Senn...

I want to see Munnerlyn back too, I think he'll be very valuable especially if we do, in fact, cut Gamble.

RE: NEW GM MAKING STRONG STATEMENT
I'm willing to bet that they're honestly working on restructuring Gamble's contract since he hasnt already been cut. He's a legit top level corner (when healthy) who is key to our success.
CB is a top need on our team, why cut the best one you have without at least trying to restructure? But I'll guess we'll find out in a week or so.

RE: NEW GM MAKING STRONG STATEMENT
I'd offer Gamble a nice contract that was very incentive laden, beginning with games played.

If we do that, we will be able to split his cap hit over 2 seasons. If we cut him now, all of it will hit us this year. Everything I have read points to Gamble being gone. The only way we keep him is if he is willing to take a pay cut and I don't see it happening. BTW, not sure if anyone posted this. Olsen restructured.

RE: NEW GM MAKING STRONG STATEMENT
I would take him at the minimum with incentives. Not worth a whole lot, not sure he agrees.
