I know, that is why I said we would not pay him a ton and let the other older vet go. I think we need a vet in there if we are going to draft a rookie to put in the middle. Just think we should have a vet who knows the system, can produce and help mentor on the the field. No one can deny the middle of our line improved dramaticly when he took a starting spot. Just saying..... Kracken's game also improved with him in there.
That's why he's worth some extra $$$. He makes both our ends better because the opposing O-Line can't double team the DE's as much. I like the thought of a young (second rounder
) being groomed under him. Talent teaching talent.
NO he's not Look he's been in the NFL for 8 yrs & this was the 1st yr he had more than 2 sacks He had 6 But look before that http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/5576/dwan -edwards Now if you going to pay Top Dollor give it to someone who will earn it on a long term bases & this person would allow us to draft else where if need be NOW I'm not saying don't offer him good money but he's not worth Top pay
Henry Melton (CHI) - DT -
Sammie Lee Hill, DT, Lions
Now what i would do If we had Cap space is I would Offer one of these guys a great deal than I would offer D.Edwards a good deal than I would draft a DT & let him learn & play as a 3rd DT
but also remember we could try to trade a player for a player
