If we win does Rivera stay?

If we win sunday against the Saints i say Rivera gets to stick around.  But then how do you bring in a GM and tell him you dont get to pick your head coach? Only time will tell i guessnoidea.

If we do is there a trip to the playoffs?  Does it mean that he can motivate his team to win meaningful games?  Does it mean that there's a good chance that either of those things are likely next year?

This season reminds me of a good boxer who can just never win the big fights.  In a sense that's all that matters.  Win enough to get to the big fights and win a few of those and nobody will fault you.

Marc Ross reportedly high on Panthers list
profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/...n-panthers-list

Now it doesn't look like the Giants will make the playoffs & that is a good thing that way we could hire Ross & get the Rivera issue behind us I'm eady to get the will we or won't we a done & over issue

Re: If we win does Rivera stay?

Great article and reviews the question about the seemingly win stat vs. win that means anything. This team has lacked real fire, as we saw from Oakland's HC.

I still think that Rivera has enough people rooting for his return, and he's campaigning for the same every game we win, that his release might surprise me more than his return. I just wish he'd shown more production earlier.

I agree G where was all his drive week 1.  What you dont want to start coaching until your job is on the line?

I fear he will be back & new GM won't have say. So question I have is
will he get full 3rd season or must win early next year to not get canned
midstream??

Maybe the guys on the field are actually performing better and that's why we're winning.

Crazy notion, eh?

Honestly, I don't want to change head coaches again. Look at what happened in Oakland. They were finally on the up-tick after years of being miserable, then the new owner decides to clean house and bring in his guys and now they're back to suck land. No thank you. I think Rivera trending in the right direction, he deserves one more year.
