KCTV in Kansas City is confirming this and reporting that the player is Jevon Belcher.  Kansas City police currently have Arrowhead Stadium locked down.  It sounds like he killed himself in front of either other players or members of the coaching staff and front office.

Wow! That sucks. I hope the Lord comforts his friends, loved ones and all those effected by this.

Truly a sad day for Chiefs nation. Feel for his family, his girlfriend he killed and her family and most importantly their 2.5 month old baby girl who will grow up without a mother and a father. Good luck tomorrow guys

I feel bad for the KC organization, fans, and especially the families of the lost as well as Scott and Romeo. All will be in my prayrers.

This game should not go on tomorrow. Its one thing when there is a tragedy - but this is 2 of them compounded by the acts of one participant.

Panther fans can't feel good if we win tomorrow - and we never feel good after a loss. Really - just call it a wash.

Not to be a jerk but I'll feel good if we win tomorrow in addition to being sympathetic to the Cheifs. Our Panthers are fighting every week to win and improve in a season that has been robbed by ineffective coaching and sheer bad luck. So i'm rooting for them and you can expect strong competition from an emotional Chiefs team.

Don't know what we'll get out of the Chiefs, I'd be shocked if they could focus on the task at hand.

Sociopath? you're a douche bag!!! He was a 25 year old kid with an argument with his girlfriend. He just happened to have a gun and did it. Im sure everyone's had a heated exchange in their life and felt the rage.

LOL, I am a douche bag?  Dude, my wife and I just had an argument earlier this evening...Problem is, I am deployed 3,000 miles away in the desert...I have unlimitted access to weapons....I dont feel the urge to run off anyone...

Like I stated, the real tragedy here is that he shot his ole lady in front of HIS MOTHER...then shot himself in front of the COACHING STAFF...Oh yea, a man in the right stand of mind would have definitely done that....  He shot himself because he didnt wanna go to jail, Dingleberry...

Sad, sad situation. I hope that everyone knows that the Chiefs are Pro Football players. They will absolutely play BIG tomorrow... Our guys had better be ready to answer...
