RE: GETTING SICK OF CAM NEWTON

He's a young QB, he's still learning and that was his weakness coming out of Auburn.

Not to mention the OL is trying to get him killed.

He's going to make mistakes, because he is young, but my God it feels like these guys are literally not trying to block.  Every play so far with the execption of the overthrow to Steve seems like he's running or getting drilled, lol.  He's been sacked 5 times and most of them quickly.

Yeah, the OL is getting abused today and what's worse is they lost their best pass rusher in Dumervil.

Who is open short? Every route we run takes 4 seconds for some to get open. Run the crossing pattern with LaFell more. Cam hits it and we get good gains.

Nobody, but honestly, I've not seen the offense line THIS bad.  It feels like they got paid off.

RE: GETTING SICK OF CAM NEWTON

the o-line has been flat out terrible. every single one of them is getting beat one on one. cam is getting hit early and often from all directions. any QB would be rattled right now.

I have not been a big Cam fan, but you are right...he's making serious rookie mistakes, but is getting pummeled because no one is giving him time to think. Fox is loving this.

Cam does hold the ball too long and tries to do to much. He needs to learn to take what the D gives him and drastically improve his accuracy on the short and intermediate stuff.

RE: GETTING SICK OF CAM NEWTON

from what i see out of cam that could be improved against this kind of pass rush would be better pocket presence and better short throws.

i really think we need to run the ball more this quarter because newton is gonna get killed dropping back every play. the broncos are bringing a DB on about every play now just to add to the onslaught.

I agree that he has to work on his accuracy.  It was better last year than it is this year.  As I'm typing this I have the last Manning play in the back of my mind in which he was pressured and threw the ball short as well as "Missed an uncovered guy" in the back of the endzone noidea  We have to block better and Cam has to learn how to take a beating and improve in the process.
