Reaping the love

Reaping the love

http://sportsillustr...?sct=nfl_t11_a2

MVP

1. Matt Ryan, Falcons (last week: 1). Beside ranking No. 1 among passers with a 112.1 rating, No. 2 with 11 touchdowns and tied for sixth with 1,162 yards, Ryan's ability to rally Atlanta to victory from his 1-yard line with less than a minute to play on Sunday showed he's on a different level.

Coach Of The Year

1. Mike Smith, Falcons (1). His 4-0 team simply meets every challenge -- primetime game, cross-country trip on a short week, one score down with under a minute to play and ball on the Atlanta 1. Doesn't matter.

If it were any other year, the overhyping we're about to receive would scare me, but this group is just special.

I wonder if Tony G's "5%" chance he'd return next year is now up to at least 20-25% biggrin

Yep, you were just 2 points short from beating us. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

Considering I was expecting to get blown out giving the game away by only 2 points isn't a bad consolation prize.

2 points in an entire game. None by an "explosive" offense.

In my opinion Ryan is as good as anyone, if he has an equal amount of time to throw. He's got intelligence, an arm, size, and grit. Now, when you talk about those other Ryans: Rex, Whatisface the drama queen in Dallas, and their dad rounding off a triumvirate of loud, toothy blubber, thems I'm not too keen on.

Like B3, I would prefer that the hype-hysteria slow down considerably if not cease all together.
Lest the organization start buying in & lose the edge.
Like Norm VanBroklin once said, "we were doin' fine until we started listening to the whores on PTree st. tell us how great we are".

Ryan is a top tier QB, but not elite. He's behind Brady, Rodgers, Eli, The Mole, Rapeburgler. I thinks he's on a level with Rivers, Romo, new version of Alex Smith, etc.

And remember, you guys have to play past the end of the world, Dec 21st. That will, gentlemen, in all probability give you a season for the ages like that guy in Caddyshack had a game for the ages during the thunderstorm, LOL.
