Week 2-Broncos @ Falcons
Rather than one long thread thats nearly two years old at the top of the screen, lets do game week/game day threads in their own separate ones.
A few thoughts:
Peyton looked good last night against a good Steelers defense though I'm not sold that the Steelers defense will be the league's best this year.
The key to the game is of course our pass rush and defensive efficiency on third downs. We can't give up 3rd and 15s like we did against the Chiefs.
Hopefully our intensity level from the second half will carry over to MNF and the Dome will be on fire.
I don't think they have the secondary to simply man up with all of our weapons but that said, they do have Von Miller and Elvis Dumerville and they can cause problems.
And on a personal preference, I'd like to see Jaquizz get a few more carries.

Re: Week 2-Broncos @ Falcons
The reason that we have a two-year old thread up top is because scout still won't get us some damn mods. If it wasn't turned into a game-thread, it'd still just be a lockout thread pinned up there, so I think it's better to at least have something semi-relevant pinned. Not to say people still shouldn't make threads too though of course...
If defense plays like they did second half this week, and the O-line can come anywhere close to the pass-protection they gave Ryan, then it's hard to worry about any team right now.

That said, if you are posting in a weekly game thread, its not going to fall off the page either. This site has a small but dedicated group of fans. Therefore, the most relevant posts will be in the weekly game thread. Just sayin. I don't think anyone here cares much either way, but people were wondering about why we still had a lockout thread pinned (even wondering if there was a new lockout). I saw over at another board where they still have scout employees posting articles, so I think I'm going to have to go bug some folks and see if we can't get a mod. This is just ridiculous that we can't even pin and unpin threads.

I think we can definitely hang with scoring, and have homefield on our side, but I do worry about Manning picking us apart. My hope is that now that they have a little more film on his slower delivery, that they should be able to anticipate better. This is right up Sammy's wheelhouse if he hangs one up there.

I think we can have 2 threads if you want, but the top thread needs to be updated weekly so we look current.

Use the top one for smack and sheet talking with the trolls, , then have all serious game analysis and live chat in the other one ........sound like a plan ?

I expect a good game, but I have to go with Manning right now. Fox knows your personnel, Manning won't be others by dome noise and I give their D a significant edge in the front 7.

RE: Week 2-Broncos @ Falcons
You have a definate edge at WR, but I give them the edge at QB, OL and Defense which is why I see them winning. Manning is going to go after whomever you replace Grimes with and he has enough targets to do it. I expect them to run a lot of no huddle again too.

The dangers of mortgaging your team's future by over-investing in an area that didn't require dramatic (costly) upgrade.
