The hang up I have with most of these dream scenarios is that $20 million is not as much as you think when you look at all of the pieces to sign, resign or let go.
Something will have to give somewhere if they don't keep it somewhat reasonable, so this and Revis seem like a pipe-dream (though maybe workable if they're willing to do a good deal).
The upisde is that rookies won't be nearly as bad anymore, especially not picking 30th. It will be like 4-5 million of that $20 million I think... But the downside is that a guy like Dummerville or Revis would still eat up a large chunk of that, even on a discount. I'm not even sure if restructuring some guys would help enough to justify a big contract, only to have it create holes elsewhere.
Seriously, this has to be one of the most frustrating, but potentially awesome offseasons. I have no clue what route they're going to take, but in TD we trust
