Who can the Falcons Cut to clear Cap Room

As most know we're currently under the cap, but will need some space if we want to resign some of the guys leaving, and draft picks.

So here are some cuts we can make and how much they'd save us now. I'm only including people who'll make more than a 1 million dollar savings and aren't Matt Ryan or Roddy White

Dunta Robinson - 8M salary - 3M in deadweight (bonuses) = 5M in savings
Turner - 6.9M salary - 2M in deadweight = 4.9 M savings
Abe - 4.25M Salary - 1.5M Deadweight = 2.75M in savings
Samuel 3.2M Salary - 1.5M Deadweight = 1.7M in savings
Babs 4.7M Salary - 500K Deadweight = 4.2M savings
Peters 1.3M salary - 191K Deadweight = 1.1M

Now after Dunta and Turner, I think there's a 0.0% chance of those guys getting cut, but Babs JMO is a prime candidate for an extension, we could extend him and lessen his cap hit for the year for some savings, Peters would be hard to do the same, but if we ever need to find a million, he's an option to trade since he hit his escalator clause in his contract.

Dunta and turner for sure. I liked Samuel for the price and play last year. Dunta would have to take a major paycut imo. He wouldn't get 1\3 on the open market. Turner is GONE i hope.

I wouldn't offer Dunta a pay cut, there's too many roster bonuses and stuff. He just needs to be cut. I know he can be a fine nickel and good insurance, but we can't afford him, maybe if we don't make any FA moves we can but I'd rather focus on improving our OL (or at least keeping Baker) and improving our DL. Maybe sign a Vet LB to backup Spoon and Nicholas.

What could cutting Jerry save us?

noway can we cut Abe, Babs, or Peters.  I'd even suggest that we keep Dunta just because he's a quality (even if not worth the money) corner and those are hard to come by.  Jerry & Turner can go bye bye

Babs and Peters will be our starters next year. No way they leave. Restructure and extend? Maybe.

I don't think we cut them either, but Babs having so little guaranteed money opens up a chance at extending him and maybe shaving a mil off our cap this year.

Dunta is gone, we cannot pay him 9 million dollars towards the cap. We can easily find a nickle corner for under 6M that would be less of a cap hit. Unless he's willing to drop his base salary down to 3 M so the cap hit is only 1M morethan the cost of cutting him, he gone.

It would save us his salary 905K. I didn't list him because he didn't fall under our cost list. BTW my real numbers are slightly flawed as well, since I didn't factor in bonus made this year, i figure it's better to err on the side of caution.
