SLB Nick Barnett released by the Bills 

Bills released WLB Nick Barnett.

The move clears Barnett's $3.5 million base salary off the books and frees up just over $3 million in cap room. Barnett turns 32 in May, but graded out as a top-ten 4-3 outside linebacker in Pro Football Focus' 2012 ratings and should have some gas left in the tank. He's also "scheme versatile," having played in both 3-4 and 4-3 schemes. We suspect Barnett will find a starting job in 2013.

Id sign his arse up. Frees up some draft options on the CHEAP.

I don't know about him. I'm willing to give Nicholas one more shot. We have him under contract for 3 mroe years and he was great in the past and I think we can do much worse than him. I'm willing to say that there's a good chance the inefficiencies we experienced have a good number to do with a new system. Wouldn't hurt though to sign a backup LB who can play some OLB and MLB. incase we struggle again.

Thats what im saying. Either bring him in for a backup role that could start if necessary. Always liked his aggressive style in GB.

I think Barnett is a good LBer. He's been around awhile, but still has some gas left.
