any one confirm this, if so that sucks, we need a primtime slot, give us a saturday game or the late game on sunday,

I'm going to the game, and am beyond bummed that we have the earliest possible game on a freaking Sunday... Not surprised in the least though, sigh....

yeah i agree. Personally, I was happy about our time slot.  Keeps us in rhythm with most every other week.  A home game at 1 p.m.  We've done pretty well in those games so far this year.  Team won't have to sit around all day waiting.  To me, there is nothing worse than having a Saturday game, b/c if you lose the Sunday games become a slap in your face.  Makes them hard to watch.

also, we'll know this Saturday night whether we are playing the Vikings or the winner of the Skins/Hawks game.  Should give our coaches a bit of an advantage.

they couldn't tackle him last week so why would they be able to this week when their arms are frozen and numb?

we did pretty good when we did not play at 1 this year, just saying

But I think it's a decent point that our guys will be comfortable waking up on Sunday, going to work and playing at 1:00... You can't discount the importance of routine in a less familiar situation like the playoffs, and I also like that the less time in the day, the less time for them to overthink everything.

But from a fan standpoint is still a bummer, as I was looking forward to a nice day of tailgating before a prime-time showdown, preferably on a Saturday when I don't have to work the next day...

We beat NO on the Thursday Night game... they beat us on a Sunday.  We did not lose a night game this year.

From a routine aspect I'd want to play at 1.

I have to disagree.

Doesn't really bother me at all. I'd certainly rather play on Sunday than Saturday. I think the Saturday 4:30pm matchups are the weakest usually. Texans - Bungles is the worst of the 4 games this weekend, for example, so off to Saturday afternoon they go. I just hope we win the stupid game, whoever we play. As I'm apparently bad luck to the local teams in the playoffs(Braves last year, Falcons-GB in 2011, Braves in 2010, Hawks - Bulls in 2011), I am selling my tickets for the game. Hopefully that will give us a nice boost.
