I think we can find a similiar guy just as good in a later round that is flying under the radar, I prefer to go defense #1 .....

Jones has played ALL up 'n down the line @ Bama from C to T to G...kid is supa versatile.
Free agent shop-a-rama will give ya a better indication as to what the Falcon braintrust direction will be.

If he was there when the Panther's pick in the second I'd have no problem with taking him.

Also Barrett Jones is awesome. He may not fall to our pick but he's 6'5 311 so he's a big guy. Not a hulk, but if we keep McClure he can play RT, or if we get rid of McClure he can play RG. Seems like our OL has 2 guys who're awesome (Konz and Blalock) one older guy (McClure) a hit/miss OT (Baker, think he gets worse of a wrap than his ability) and an injured tackle (Svitek) so one of the OTs or C will be replaced.

Not a big fan of Barrett Jones at all. Just stay away!

The problem with a lot of Bama guys these days is that a lot of them are so coached up they don't have a ton of ceiling left. Unless the guys is an absolute freak like Richardson or Julio, I'd be hesitant. I just don't see guys like Barrett Jones living up to their college production in the NFL.

As a guard he doesn't need to be any better than he was in college. No he doesn't have much future as a big OT, but stick him next to Svitek and Konz and I think that side of the line will be fine.
