Game thread: Patriots vs Broncos
[ADMIN EDIT]Please migrate to the new boards. we're not sure when FOX is taking these down, but it will be soon.
if you use your current name/email then your rankings will be preserved, (Post counts disappear though) I thought there was a game thread. Did anyone see one? I don't now... anywho this will be it.... Brady / Manning... big game. Conference game... NE will either be over .500 or under it. Hopefully we will see a pass rush in this game.

TEs Aaron Hernandez, Rob Gronkowski, Michael Hoomanawanui return to practice. Edelman, Gregory still out. Dowling not seen (update: Dowling had a death in the family).

Should they win this game?Yes!Will they?Idk.You have to win your home games in this league.They are 0-1 already.Manning will have a field day if they dont get some type of pressure or if this secondary doesnt cover well.I cant stand Arrington getting burned every second. I wonder if this team should go more to a 4-3 defense.They are so predictable on defense as well.Why not try a blitz here and there.Opposing QBs are too comfortable when playing this defense!

My hunch is that with the number of rookies starting on D, they're integrating the full package over time. By the end of the season it'll probably be a much more complex scheme.

I'm actually looking forward to this game. I've always liked the Brady/Manning games when he was with the Colts. Going to be interesting to see if this young D can't get to or even rattle Manning.

MOst estimates I see say there's < 25% chance Herny actually plays. With the Jets at Foxboro in two weeks, they want him ready for that.
Hightower's situation is described as "day-to-day" ... will be game-time decision.

No doubt, this is The Game of The Week.
This game will tell a lot about where the Patriots stand, and where they're headed. I think last week's 2nd-half explosion will give them a lot of confidence for this week, and they will handle this match well.
But Peyton is still a truly great player, and the defense will have their work cut out for them.

With Steve Gregory out it's likely Tavon Wilson will start at safety opposite Chung. Wilson has done ok, but I'd rather see Sterling Moore on the field at that position for throwing downs - he's got better ball-hawking skills, and Manning will put the ball up.
The front-7 will need a monster game. Hightower being hurt won't help that, he's got crazy speed for a guy that size. But they have to get pressure on Manning from any and all directions.

Peyton is still a good player. He still has it mentally, but let's face it his arm strangth is Pennington-like wet noodlish. The rain won't help either.
They could beat the Pats but I think the Pats will outscore them by at least 10.

And even with the amount of money the NFL makes, they still can't code the gamecenter to keep up with the friggin' game. It's still shows a 2009 copyright and it hangs all the time.
