FOXBOROUGH -- With two games to go in the regular season, quarterback Tom Brady said the Patriots offensive identity continues to be a work in progress.

"I think that's probably something that we're still working on," Brady said. "We're still trying to find the right combination of things and we're a pretty balanced team, I think. ..."

With injuries to players like receiver Julian Edelman and running backs Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris, Brady said finding consistency has been a challenge.

"We're trying to find the right mix and the right plays for the groups that are on the field so we can execute the best," Brady said. "So sometimes it looks good and sometimes it doesn't look so good, but I think we're still working at it."

I think what he really meant was "the OC doesn't know what he's doing and my ribs are killing me. I guess I'll keep throwing to Welker and bombing it to Moss every chance I get."
