Game Balls (Good things)

1)
Cassell, managed the game well, a nice deep strike, spread the ball around

2)  Faulk and Morris;  they both controlled the clock and make plays when needed

3)  O-Line (run blocking, downfield blocks)

Honorable Mentions:  GOS, another great game for our kicker

Goats (bad things)

1)
Hanson, his punts left a lot to b desired

2)  O'Neal, got burnt several times, i hope he starts to get it

3)  Pass Protection, the opposing D is spending too much time in the backfield

Dishonorable mentions  announcing team, they were horrible

Game balls to the coaching staff. Adjustments were made on both sides of the ball after the first quarter. Something that didnt happen last game.

McDaniels established a running game, stuck with it and added some creativity.

Balls

Good to see the running game power up.l

Rockin Rodney the Recking Crew, Several nice plays today and always around the ball.

Defense Held their own and Hobbs had some nice covers.

Honorables:  Gosty comes through again..  The new legacy for the Pats.  I predict this kid will have a bigger all time impact at his position than Adam Vin.

Goats.

Did the refs have a problem spotting the ball or was it my imagination.  A big ball gos to BB for flagging for a review.

Im still not sold on Micky D

Oline Continues to scare me.

RE: Game Balls & Goats: Patriots @ 49ers

Game ball - Coaching staff. They got the team prepared, put in a solid (game-shortening) game plan, and then made adjustments after a pretty bad 1st quarter. It wasn't glamorous, but it got the job done.

Honorable mention - I actually thought the OL did a better job than usual. Most of the sacks Cassell took were from not recognizing the blitz and/or holding the ball too long. Plus there were actually some holes to run through today.

Goat - Laurence Maroney. How often do you see him hit a hole at full speed? Almost never. That's dancing. After that one run where he missed a hole that could have lead to a big gain and bounced it outside instead and then pussed out and went out of bounds just short of the 1st down I said "I don't want to see that guy for the rest of the game." Apparently BB wasn't as fed up as me because he gave him 1 more carry before sitting him.

Balls

Cassel - His best day as a Pat

Moss - Played hard today.  The bomb was great, but his consistant play even better.

Gostkowski - Honestly so far he's the offensive MVP

Hon Mention - Morris & Faulk, Welker, and the second half D which improved greatly

Goats

DBs were out of possition on  several plays, particularly 1Q..but did improve as it went.

Special teams - (Does not include Gostkowski) Punts, kick coverage and returns all poor.
