Tebow's ready - just waiting for a call ...

Tebow Still Training For Another Shot At NFL: ‘I Know Who Holds My Future’ July 21, 2014 12:52 PM .
.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (CBS Connecticut) — Tim Tebow is still training for another shot at the National Football League. . Tebow, who was released by the New England Patriots before the start of the 2013 season, has been working out with other football players in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the Performance Enhancement Professionals gym. .
.
“I feel great,” Tebow told KSAZ-TV . “I feel the strongest, healthiest, throwing the best I’ve ever have. I’m just really excited about the improvement.” .
.
Tebow, who has also been working on his quarterback skills in Los Angeles, says it’s in God’s hands whether he plays quarterback in the NFL again. . “One of my favorite quotes is, ‘I don’t know what my future holds, but I know who holds my future,’” Tebow told KSAZ. “That gives you peace to just continue to work and you go after what your heart desires. ...When you do that, you don’t have any regrets. ... I think that’s the best way to live life.” .
.
Tebow, who is currently an analyst for the SEC Network, was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida.
.
The former Heisman-winning quarterback led the Broncos on an improbably playoff run in 2011, connecting with Demaryius Thomas on an 80-yard touchdown pass to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime in the Wild Card Round to advance. ... They were eventually beaten a week later by the AFC Champion New England Patriots. .
.
The Broncos ended up trading Tebow to the New York Jets following the 2011 season after they picked up Peyton Manning. Tebow was barely used in New York, primarily playing on special teams. . Tebow has amassed 17 passing touchdowns in his three seasons, including 12 rushing touchdowns. ...
.
Tebow won the 2007 and 2009 BCS National Championships while at Florida. .

Credit: Fox News ... . Truth I I have NO problem with Tebow - just don't want him here as a qb. - Most NFL players that make headlines for stuff unrelated to football - are doing things a LOT DIFFERENT stuff than being religious.

BAL shot their wad on Fluke-o. Now TT in DAL is another story. That could be seriously entertaining.

Can you imagine watching Dallas if Romo goes down?  They'd have Weeden and possibly Tebow as backups.  I think the NFL would have to go into TV scramble mode to move the Cowboys off of national games as quickly as possible.

So when did they hand the good lord a check book and what NFL, CFL, AFL team does he manage?

"what NFL, CFL, AFL team does he manage?"
.
Obviously he handles the whole thing, behind the scenes of course. - HE can probably even tolerate soccer, ... well - sorta has to, it goes with the job description.

Given that Goodell is the commissioner, I tend to think it's "the other guy" in charge of the league.

Urban Meyer on Tim Tebow’s NFL return: “I still don’t get it”

Tim Tebow is one of the most celebrated quarterbacks in the history of college football, and he enjoyed a brief stint of success with the Denver Broncos in the NFL. However, he was cut from the New England Patriots before the start of the 2013 season, and has been out of the league ever since.
.

Despite this, Tebow has kept training in hopes that a team will give him another shot. His former Florida Gators coach, Urban Meyer, doesn’t understand why Tebow hasn’t gotten another chance.
.

Per NFL.com:
.

“I still don’t get that part of it,” Meyer said Tuesday at Big Ten Media Days. “He’s the second-most efficient passer ever to play college football…”
.

“He had really good personnel around him (at Florida) and we utilized his skill very well,” Meyer said. “I think in a traditional setting, it is difficult, but there’s a lot of non-traditional offenses now in the NFL…”
.

“He’ll be successful in whatever he does, but he’s such a good player,” Meyer said. “I just wish it would work out for him.”
.

I personally find it hard to believe there isn’t a spot for a guy like Tebow somewhere on an NFL roster. While he isn’t a great traditional quarterback, he is a good football player that can do a number of things. We’ll see as the summer moves along if any team takes a flyer on him, but don’t count on it.
