LaFell - Pats work harder than Carolina, ...

Brandon LaFell: ... Patriots work a little harder than the Panthers
.
Pro Football Talk | Jun 9
.

After spending his first four NFL seasons with the Panthers, new Patriots receiver Brandon LaFell wasn’t sure what to expect in New England. What he’s found is that Organized Team Activities are tougher.

“The way we work, the way we practice, is all new [to me]. - It’s not like we didn’t work hard in Carolina, but we work a little harder here,” LaFell said, via Mike Reiss of ESPN.

Reiss notes that LaFell didn’t mean any disrespect to the Panthers, but LaFell is both impressed and perhaps a little intimidated by how tough OTAs are in New England. LaFell told MassLive.com that since signing with the Patriots, ... “It’s been the craziest two or three months of my life.” - LaFell said famous teammates like Darrelle Revis (“He works his butt off and he makes you work too” and Tom Brady (“He demands the best out of everybody”) are treating summer OTAs with every bit the seriousness that they treat fall Sundays.

It's funny how many times that story has repeated itself over the years. Players can't stand the Pats ... until they end up on the team and then suddenly see that it's like no other team in the league.

The Pats are like a handful organizations that sustains a high degree of success.  They work harder, and are expected to work harder. If you don't cut it, you are gone. BB set that tone way back when he took over and let a slew of vets go.

Totally agree, BB doesn't just want high priced names, although some of them would be helpful especially in the receiving corp, he wants the blue collar version of the NFL player, bust your a$$ and get recognized. It makes the Pats stand out. Hard work that can be traced back to when he took over.

Wow.! It's been awhile caden.... Welcome back.

That..... Hard Work! was created over a decade ago by a perfect storm of:

Hungry, savvy, veteran players tired of losing.
A selfless owner with visions of a Niner*like Dynasty.
A QB!Coach! combo that know how and when to bring out the best in others better than any other combo this league has seen in this free agency era.

Talent, working hard can only take you so far in this team sport though. Character, resolve, knowing how and when to let others do their job and trust each other is easier said than done. When there is trust, teamwork .... A believed destiny! Then Dynasty's and working harder than you thought you could become possible because you don't want to let ur teammates down.
Enjoy the ride Patbiggrinfans...The players that "buy in", Do!.... For the most part. They can feel the hunger and want team success like very few teams can realistically provide.
No one on this team is beyond being reprimanded in front of others and our leaders have historically led the charge as the hardest workers.
It's easy to play Monday morn QB when they fail. Lets not forget that taking risks and not being afraid to be great is what RK, BB, and TFB have helped create by working hard and learning to like it, if not love it and get others to buy in!

I'm not saying don't be critical of mistakes made by many in the organization but do take a moment to thank the gridiron gods. It's our good luck to have these men come together with a common, hard working dedication that leads to being in position for a bounce or 2 to a Championship. All teams get them on the road to win it all with few exceptions.
Get the new players quickly focused on working hard and only worrying about what they can control. BB's the Master...along with his insider..his player coach..TFB! They should once again have their fingers on the pulse of this team and we can only hope that the healthy talent is good enough to seal the deal with their system..
Go Pats!
Work ur arses off and I'll always hitch my wagon to the Pats through the good times and bad. I'm so proud to be a Pat fan because I trust this organization will do all they can to stay in contention and not sell out too much for the moment. Hard work....Well coached players (for the most part, WR's, DB's could listen or be taught better but who's perfect?) the morphing system, with timely playmaking and luck has been their formula.. Players have to make plays, and we do need luck when it counts or all that hard work goes for not for that year.

The Spurs are a great analogy in basketball. Long history of sustained success, multiple championships, work as a team, selfless, and work harder than anyone else....and capable of beating more seemingly more talented teams.

It's fun to watch teams excel like that through team play. They're just toying with opponents at times and are really only competing against a standard they want to keep as a team.
