tech has been expanding out of silicon valley since silicon valley's inception but the world's largest brain bank is still in silicon valley.
ironically, tech hates california so much that google has been doing a major expansion into los angeles and now have about 200,000 sq feet of office space in Venice.
ps. you want to use jobs in silicon gulch as evidence that tech is fleeing california? Austin has been a tech stronghold for a long time. what is your next piece of evidence? north carolina's silicon triangle?
the main reason for expansion outside of silicon valley has been to build facilities in talent centers and customer service centers.

Keep making excuses.
