What's the latest on this guy? I'm assuming he's still on the roster but is he healthy to go this year or what?

Yeah, from what i know, him and Mularkey have been in contact once or twice a wk, but as of now he's not medically cleared, but Mularkey loves the attitude and leadership he brings.

Personally I believe if he's healthy the team brings him back.. and by all indications he should be ready to go no later than June. Considering Roth is a concussion case, Chick hurt his knee very late in the season, bringin him back makes a lot of sense. If this guys healthy he could be a 7-10 sack guy considering Mincey's improvement, the improved play from the LB's /DB's.

Lets pray he gets healthy, b/c he showed us early in 2010 that when healthy he's a beast.

They're going to give him all of training camp to see where he's at physically and then make a decision on him.  At best I would imagine he'd have to take a pay cut.

yeah doesnt he have a cap number of around 7-8 million this yr? If I'm not mistaken he signed a 3 yr 24 million deal? I'm sure the guaranteed $$ has already been pd, so it would make sense to wait and see just how healthy he is.

Even if he's only a 6-8 sack guy, he is to our D-line what Torry Holt was to Wrs, a position coach playing the position.
Who knows, his production could go up if we have a decent rotation and he's kept fresh throughout the game.

I think he's due somewhere around $5M this year.  Probably not going to be worth that to the team.

Is that the same Torry Holt who when asked if he would help coach up the young guys said:

"Sure, I'll coach em straight to the bench."

Yeah same one. That was said tonugue in cheek. I was at the practices and can assure u.. he coached them as much if not more than the actual position coach did.  Every play he was offering advice encouragement to M-80 and MSW specifically.

Charlie knows.
