WOKV says Mike Mularkey is gone

I'm surprised I didn't see an earlier post.  I thought I would put this up so non-locals could see it.

And best of all, Caldwell said
he wasn't going to waste money
on Tebow. Thanks goodness.
I like him already. He's assertive.

Re: WOKV says Mike Mularkey is gone

Exciting new era in Jags football!  Names being tossed around include Brian Schottenheimer, Greg Roman, Jay Gruden, Mike Nolan, I've even heard the 49ers d coordinator could be a possibility, and the Falcons ST coordinator whose name I forget.  Someone that interests me, but they seem to have no interest in is Ken Wisenhunt, I think that was a foolish fire by the Cards and he is a tremendous coach, but I've heard nothing linking us to him.  What do you guys think?  Who do you want? What have you heard?  We have a chance to start completely fresh, hope you all are as excited as I am

As soon as I posted this I just read Mel Tucker will be given the opportunity to interview for the head coaching job....surely this is for nothing more than to satisfy the NFLs Rooney Rule though I would assume.  Feel sort of bad that they are using him just for this after the efforts he put in to these terrible teams he was a part of over the last 3 yrs or however long he was with us

RE: WOKV says Mike Mularkey is gone

this was Mel's 3rd official year with the team, but his first year he wasn't calling the plays. Jack del rio was. While Mel took over last year before the season started. As far as him being head coaching material, I know Mike Mularkey really wanted him to stay with the team last off-season and that Johnny O speaks very highly of him getting a chance to be a head coach in the NFL. He seems to be well respected throughout the league which is a plus

Yea I thought he did a solid job for us when he took over as interim last yr, but I really don't envision any scenario where he gets this job.  I have seen he also interviewed w/ the Bills for their d coordinator job, that seems much more on par for him at this point

For the way he talked about Tebow, I hope the Jags lose every game until he's fired.  Then, bring in Tebow.

Go back to the Gator board and leave this one alone.  He didn't say anything bad about Tebow, all he said is he couldn't envision any scenario where he would be a Jaguar.  That's talking bad about him?  You people are ridiculous
