Someone else!!!!!  Enough with the garbage, we need to rebuild with a legit franchise qb, that's the point we have been trying to make.  Henne/Gabbert may have to be a holdover until we can find our guy, but none of these guys are the future.  The problem is, if they are going to bring in Tebow I believe they are going to try to sell him as the franchise qb, which he certainly is not.  Its time to do things the right way and find a franchise qb, that can have sustainable success in the NFL

Re: Tebow, Henne, or Gabbert? Vote

I'd like Tebow in Jax for many reasons...but certainly not to just hand the QB job too.
If he comes here.....IMO he starts as the 3rd string QB and if he earns more....great.
If not, then he will help the team in other ways....as long as the Tebow maniacs don't make a train wreck out of it.
I really feel sorry for the guy,and more so because of his over zealous supporters rather than his detractors.
If given a chance he "might" prove his detractors wrong, but he could never be good enough to make those who are obsessed with him, right.

Just let the guy have his chance to "earn" a starting job in the NFL.....I am positive that's all he has ever asked for.

I didn't anser the Poll because I want whoever is the best of the three......or a different guy.....and we just don't know the answer to that at this point.

I am more than fine with that Padre, if he came here and earned the spot, while bridging the gap to a franchise qb for us (unless he somehow earned the job and was good enough to keep it, which I have serious doubts) then I would be ok with that.  I just fear that he would be sold to us as our franchise qb, keeping us from getting a legit franchise qb, somewhat like how Blaine kept us from getting a franchise qb b/c we were tied to him

There is no way he will come here as our franchise QB.
He is 3rd string on a bad team with two other bad QB's.

Re: Tebow, Henne, or Gabbert? Vote

I wouldn't say he should be 3rd string, but that he should not be guaranteed 1st or 2nd string.  I don't think any player should ever be guaranteed a place on the depth chart.

I mostly agree though.  Let him come in and if he can't win the starting job, let him sit the bench and see if he can learn to be better.

I would change the offense though.  I'd go heavy on the spread option, get rid of Henne, and bring in another spread option-capable QB, like perhaps Vince Young.  I wouldn't guarantee Young a roster spot, but he can try out.  Since we already have two spread option QBs, if we're to have either of them next year, why not increase their odds of success?

You are a retard, you just made yourself sound fu@king ignorant to what the NFL is as soon as you mentioned I would go heavy spread option Do you even think before you talk. The spread will never work, again if it did then every team right now would run it. This is not college little boy. This is a grown man's game. You think you know something yet you know only Tebow yet he is garbage like you and your team. I find it humorous when you post because of your pathetic attempts to get every one on board with you on Tebow guess what it don't work. Henne as in right now till we can get a better replacement is going to have to do.. and FYI one Mr. Hoge said it best on ESPN about Tebow. You should listen to what he had to say because he spoke the truth about that guy.

lol  Okay, your foolishness has polluted my screen long enough.  You're ignored.

My god, a Henne fan!  lmao  And idiots like this guy miss the fact that the spread option is the latest trend on the offensive side of the ball in the league.  San Fran, Seattle, Washington, Miami, etc. are all running it with some success.  This dope knows nothing about conventional offense, much less the spread option.

It's very simple.  Gabbert doesn't play well in a conventional NFL offense so far(nor does Chad Henne, who also can't run).  Tebow hasn't shown he can either, and nor has Vince Young, nor Michael Vick, but they may have more success in an offense that fits their skills better.  So, install a spread option-heavy offense and allow Tebow, Vick, Young, and whom ever else might make sense give it a try.

Yeah, if Alex Smith is willing to run the spread option.  He's a good enough passer and is getting older, so there might be plenty of teams that will let him run a more conventional offense.

If we bring in Smith, perhaps it should be to run a more conventional offense and put Tebow on the bench from day 1.  He can learn behind Smith.

@inomoxo gator troll/gatorchompsdawgs brother

Fluffer...... really? as far as success wise though i would say yes for now.

but again i present this about tebow:

Sure, Tebowmaniacs point to his record in 2011 and how he beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs and blah, blah, blah. What they ignore is that Denver's defense was really good last season, Tebow pulled out more improbable escapes than Criss Angel and that, when faced with good strategy by teams like New England and even Kansas City, Tebow was an unworkable mess as a quarterback.

That's where Tebowmaniacs do him the most harm. Instead of understanding his faults – he's a horrible practice player with bad mechanics who can't read defenses – they say, "Just look at the record." In doing that, Tebow and his group of enablers (starting with his father and brother Rob) seem to think nothing is wrong, that he can go on playing the way he does until somebody in the NFL wises up and just gives Timmy a chance to start again.

Yeah it works right.eek1eek1  Listen I know you can't wrap your head around what i am saying, because your busy taking cheap shots, but my job for what i do right now is to evaluate talent for MY program. As far as Michigan goes down in jacksonville fl. there are alot of us down here my friend open your eyes we are everywhere.

Most Spread QB's never make it and the ones that do are the ones who "LEARN" not to run and rather learn to read a defense, find the open reciever, and will only run when they have to, that is fact my friend. Vick became better when he started to learn to make the proper reads he himself made that starement.

BTW I never played QB I was a DE and FB I could play both sides of the ball
