Ken: with all due respect to the Redskins fans .... hasn't that former rivalry between Dallas and Landover broken up about 20 to 25 years ago? Yea, it used to be fun watching Staubach, Longley, Juregensen etc when these two teams were contenders and their annual games were meaningful, but that's ancient history. Even the Danny Snyder fans I know admit that both teams sucking all these years has destroyed the rivalry.

When people talk Baltimore crabcakes, G&M is always mentioned. I'm not a fan though, for whatever reason. I've been there three times now, and I thought the crabcake was a little too dry, even with the sauce. Pappas blows it out of the water in my opinion.

Go when it's busier.  They aren't made to order.  They are made in large batches in a single broiler, making probably 50 at a time when it's busy.  When it's slow, the crab cakes might sit under a heat lamp for 20 minutes before being served.  When it's busy, the trays are practically flying through the kitchen.  To keep up with the volume, the crab cake mix (crab meat, egg, seasoning, etc.) is made in 5 gallon tubs (probably 20+ pounds per tub), and they'll go through a few of those a day on weekends.  At least that's what it was 10 years ago, and even with their kitchen renovation (due to the store room catching on fire about 3 or 4 years ago), I seriously doubt they've changed.

Besides, if you order from them, you keep my brother and sister working.  Oh, and if you go there, try some of the deserts - they're all made in house now - my brother makes them all!

G&M all the way. I've gone to sample just about every crab cake of note around Baltimore and G&M blows everything away.

The Olive Branch in Pylesville comes in a close second at least the first time I went there the second time not so much. May have been a bad night. Box Hill in Abingdon never disappoints. They Fedex as well...

I'm at a bit of a disadvantage having never tried a G&M..    Pappas is pretty good. a little bit on the sweet side for me, but they're worth the trip..   I hear Breezy point seafood in White Marsh was voted the best in Baltimore..  I just might have to drive down there tomorrow  and try one for lunch..

G&M is awesome! I'm living in Atlanta now and miss G&M tremendously.

I've never really understood the Cowboys/Redskins rivalry either, but I could see the Cowboys preformance to them mattering.  They're in the same division, and both competing for the NFC East division title.  Luckily, we don't have those obnoxious games on national TV anymore.

Edit: Well, they do have a game as part of the snoozefest line-up of Thanksgiving football. I guess the tradition of terrible match-ups on Thanksgiving will never die.

T - as you know, the rivalry got started during the George Allen regime. And while I agree it peaked during the Gibbs I regime, the rivalry is still strong. The older generation has taught the youngins well in this matter.

Never had Pappas.... Had G&M and they are good, but I prefer Koko's in Hamilton...

Koko's is pretty good..    Angelina's used to have a good one. They were just up the street from my Grandmother's house.  Dad used to bring some home once in a while..

It's a painful conversation for a vegetarian... and a resident inside the DC Beltway.  The skins fans let down has been monumental this year.  So many guys in my office thought they'd go undefeated with RG3 at the helm, and they're all tucking their tails between their legs and 'forgetting' that there's even football on TV.
