Game Thread for Tonight

Drew Bree's looks so good. Matt Ryan not so much just threw a pick that went back for a TD w/42 seconds to go in the half. Saints scored 14 points in 23 seconds 28 to 14 Saints

Matt Ryan looks like he is scared now after that pick throwing to high. It was his first pick that got returned for a TD in his career

After the game can a mod move this to other sports I would I appreciate it thanks

Joe Flacco will take us to the promised land.

Yeah, Matt Ryan is clearly better than Joe Flacco.

I wonder how long it will take for that myth to be dispelled.

ehhh. It's still to early to decide that both could flame out. Flacco could end up better or Ryan could or they could end thier careers about even. Right now though I take Joe Flacco he has looked alot better and some of the media has taken notice as well. Deions comments on NFL Network last night showed that

Joe Flacco will take us to the promised land.

I'm glad we have Flacco over Ryan. That being said, I have to defend Ryan on that pick. Roddy White was knocked off of his route byh the Saints LB well beyond 5 yards. Should have been illegal contact. When refs miss blatant stuff like that it has to make you wonder.

And you've made my point for me.

It's too early to tell. Maybe they'll be relative equals like Brady and Manning.

But all the talk last year and going into this season was that Ryan is superior. A few of the guys on NFL network at swinging from his nuts. He's a good QB, but at the very least, Flacco has been as good as him.

So far this season, I'd say Flacco has been better.

WOW a 68 yard TD pass

The thing with Flacco is that he doesn't let media attention go to his head. He stays even keel. Matt Ryan needs to keep his head and return to the Matty Ice rep he built last year.

I still say both will be great QBs, but I'm glad we ended up with Joe Cool.

Re: Game Thread for Tonight

I haven't heard anyone say Matt Ryan is better than Joe Flacco since 2008.  There's really no rivalry between the two now that rookie of the year contention is over.  Ryan is a fine QB doing great things for the Atlanta Falcons.

2/3 of the world is covered by water.  The other 1/3 is covered by Ed Reed.

With as blatant a push-off as you'll ever see by Roddy White.

They don't directly say Ryan is superior to Flacco, but the Matt Ryan hype on ESPN gets a tad crazy at times.  It has cooled down, though, and the Flacco love is catching on.

We were talking tonite, there is no other QB I would want with the team we have then Flacco--the years of QB envy are finally over for me tongue Not to take away from Peyton, Ben, Brees or Ryan--  Flacco fits.

While our WRs are doing a fine job this year, this game reminds me that we need to get a playmaker to groom with Flacco. Imagine what Flacco could do with a guy like what White does for Ryan?

Did that hit the ground before it was caught? That is not a catch no TD

And the ref is looking right dead at it. Close up. What the F was that ref looking at? The officiating this year is a joke at best.

Thank you. I mean, he's right there. They just wasted time off of my life when the ref is right there to say it wasn't a catch. In today's recession, I'm not one to wish for someone to lose a paycheck, but A lot of refs need to lose jobs after this season.
