Re: Ravens Roster Cuts

Given that I've never heard of most of them, I'd say they were not terribly important. LaQuan Williams isn't much of a surprise - he's been hanging on to an NFL career by a thread for the last 4 years. He's just not quite there. Maybe he makes it on another team.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!!!

All of these guys earned their ticket to see the Turk. Omar Brown & LaQuan are most well-known, but realistically they're fringe guys who have been eclipsed by in-house talent. Out of the other guys no one else should've been surprised to be cut in this initial round. Except for Chapas none of the others actually played decently when they saw field time. I think Chapas was injured/waived but all the others just have to continue striving for the dream elsewhere.

The cut from 75 to 53 will be the tough one, so we'll see.

Re: Ravens Roster Cuts

Waived/injured players can be claimed by other teams. If the designated player clears waivers he can be added to IR, or receive an injury settlement and released.

No surprises. The youth is picking it up,  allowing the dead wood to get pushed out. Levine probably sealed Omar's fate the other night with a pretty good performance.

A little sad to see Mims go. We didn't get a chance to see much of him.  A raw tackle. Big kid with  a lot of potential that just couldn't get over the new guys coming in..

Re: Ravens Roster Cuts

I get that taylor will be our back-up....it`s late in the game for drastic changes...but seattle did actually release terrelle pryor and kept bj Daniel and tavarris Jackson(I don`t get it,but,whatever).....

still, somebody is going to get a back-up qb that is tall, can run and is a better thrower that tyrod taylor...a better version of taylor....

this guy has a little talent...

Re: Ravens Roster Cuts

They don't, IR is one of a few options once a player is waived/injured.

Aaron Wilson @RavensInsider  ·  25m

The Ravens have cut undrafted rookie running back Fitzgerald Toussaint, according to a source. Could be headed for practice squad
Also Per WNST text, They cut AQ Shipley. Not surprised with that move. He stunk!!

Re: Ravens Roster Cuts

If true, it means Urshel and Hurst probably made the team. Not sure about Jah Reid. Hope he goes.

So, they are going position by position. CB, S, ILB, and WR to go.

Re: Ravens Roster Cuts

Wilson`s tweet indicated simon not at practice(along with butler, meder and graham)....bad grouping to be in with.......couldn`t possibly mean they cut him after his last game performance....could it?

Re: Ravens Roster Cuts

We have plenty of depth without Simon on the team at OLB, so it could be a possibility.
